[Japan] 特攻隊節 - The Special Attack Squad Verse / Song of the Kamikaze Pilots [English Translation]
Another song from Japan, this one is more somber than most songs on my channel as the song describes the thoughts of a Kamikaze pilot before they were to go off to meet their inevitable fate. Also, for those wondering why I don't translate anymore WWII German songs, it's because most (If not all) have been translated and uploaded to youtube by this point and seeing as others have finished ones I haven't done, I have chosen to respect their establishing of a translation to those songs as more than likely the translation will be the same or similar enough to be copying. As such, if there is a song that I haven't done that I do come across, I'll translate it but like I said, if someone else already has translated it I won't do it. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=47Si2bH5Ol8
A song showing the nationalist pride of the Balkan peoples. The cryllic was not included as I ran out of space. Thank Stefan Stamenkovic for the translation as he sent me via message the translation. It's been a few weeks but I'm still getting back into things so I should have more soon!

Nae Joguge Balgeun Dara (내 조국의 밝은 달아: My Fatherland's Shining Moon)
Performed by the Korean People's Army Merited Chorus
Another North Korean song I know some of you may like. If you have any requests for songs, let me know in the comments. I get notifications for all comments so I will respond when I can.

This is probably the saddest song I've done out of all the songs I've done. I recommend it.
Liedtext - DER KLEINE TROMPETER...
1.) Von all unsern Kameraden,
war keiner so lieb und so gut,
|: wie unser kleiner Trompeter,
ein lustiges Rotgardistenblut, :|
2.) Wir saßen so fröhlich beisammen,
in einer gar stürmischen Nacht.
|: Mit seinen Freiheitsliedern
hat er uns glücklich gemacht. :|
3.) Da kam eine feindliche Kugel,
bei einem fröhlichen Spiel.
|: Mit einem seligen Lächeln,
unser kleiner Trompeter, er fiel. :|
4.) Da nahmen wir Hacke und Spaten
und gruben ihm morgens ein Grab.
|: Und die ihn am liebsten hatten,
sie senkten ihn stille hinab. :|
5.) Schlaf wohl, du kleiner Trompeter!
Wir waren dir alle so gut.
|: Schlaf wohl, du kleiner Trompeter,
du lustiges Rotgardistenblut. :|
Lyrics - THE LITTLE TRUMPETER
1.) Of all our mates,
nobody was as sweet-natured and good,
|: as our little trumpeter,
a cheerful red guard's blood. :|
2.) We sat so joyous together,
in a so stormy night,
|: with his songs of freedom,
he made us happy. :|
3.) There came an hostile bullet,
during a joyous game.
|: With a blessedly smile,
our little trumpeter, he fell. :|
4.) So we took hoe and spade,
and dug him a grave in the morning.
|: And those who loved him most
lowered him silently. :|
5.) Sleep well, you little trumpeter!
We were all so close to you.
|: Sleep well, you little trumpeter,
you cheerful red guard's blood! :|

Ai yori aoki ōzora ni ōzora ni
In the sky, bluer than indigo-blue,
Tachimachi hiraku hyaku sen no
In an instant bloom thousands of
Mashiroki bara no hana moyou
White roses, what a sight!.
Miyo rakkasan sora ni furi
Behold, parachutes descending in the sky!
MIyo rakkasan sora o yuku
Behold, parachutes conquering the sky!
Miyo rakkasan sora o yuku
Behold, parachutes conquering the sky!
Seiki no hana yo rakkasan rakkasan
Oh, the greatest flower, parachute!
Sono jumpaku ni akaki chi o
No regret spilling my red blood
Sasagete kuinu kishūtai
On its pure white, our paratroopers.
Kono aozora mo teki no sora
Our blue skies in the enemy's hand!
Kono yama kawa mo teki no jin
Our mountains and rivers in the enemy's hand!
Kono yama kawa mo teki no jin
Our mountains and rivers in the enemy's hand!
Teki gekisai to maikudaru maikudaru
Descending to perish the enemy,
Manajiri takaki tsuwamono no
Our soldiers' eyes held in determination
Izukuka miyuru osanagao
In their still adolescent face.
Aa jumpaku no hana oite
Pure white flowers adorning their shoulders!
Aa seiun ni hana oite
Flowers on their shoulders in the blue cloud!
Aa seiun ni hana oite
Flowers on their shoulders in the blue cloud!
Tataeyo sora no simpei o shimpei o
Praise the divine soldiers in the sky!
Nikudan kona to kudakutomo
Even hurling themselves at the enemy,
Uchiteshi yamanu yamatodama
Japanese spirits held high.
Waga masurao ha ama kudaru
Our strong men descending from the heaven!
Waga kōgun ha ama kudaru
Our Imperial Army descending from the heaven!
Waga kōgun ha ama kudaru
Our Imperial Army descending from the heaven!

"We're going into the Wide-Fields" is a Russian song about the men of the Russian "Askari" under General Vlasov and his men. These men played a role in some battles, however, in the end these men were tricked into believing that the Eastern Front (Soviet Great Patriotic War) was a war of liberation, and not one of territorial annexation and cultural displacement and removal had the war been won in Nazi favor.

A parody of a classic song "Hard times, come again no more", that came about during the US Civil War. This version was sung by the 97th regimental band who make absolutely amazing mid-19th century music from the United States and you should definitely check them out.
For those who don't know what "hard tack" is, they were biscuits but recooked multiple times to dry them out and prevent moisture from molding them over. In the US Army they were a core ration as part of the early army diet due to its longevity and transportability. In the Mexican-American War of 1848, the United States Federal government ordered for the production of multiple tons of hard tack in the expectation that Mexico would fight longer than they did. This, however, did not occur but the hard tack was already produced so they were put in storage for the time being.
By the outbreak of the United States' Civil War, the Federal government made use of this hardtack store which turned out to still be in """good"" condition". Both the Union and Confederate armies absolutely despised hardtack, as they were often found to have weevil larvae within them, making them distasteful. So yeah, the US Civil War's armies were fed on 20 year old crackers.

Lyrics:
The armour is hard and our tanks are fast
And our men are full of courage
The Soviet tankmen are ready for action—
Sons of their Great Motherland.
Refrain:
Thundering with fire, glinting with steel,
The tanks will begin a harsh campaign
When we're called to battle by Comrade Stalin
And the First Marshal will lead us in this battle!
In keeping our country, we guard
The work of factories and farms
By power of our gun turrets
By our fastness and pressure of fire.
[Refrain]
Let's enemy, who hidden in ambush, remember
We watch for him, we are on guard.
We want not a foot of foreign land,
But we will not give up an inch of our own land.
[Refrain]
But if the enemy attacks us,
We will beat him everywhere,
Tankdrivers will start engines
And drive by forests, mountains and even on water.
[Refrain]
