Getting back to the LMTV truck frame, bed, axel into a trailer build, I decipher the coded wiring schematic, have grounding issues, wire position issues, and finally decide to just "ring-out" the wires with a multi-meter ohm toner. The wiring harness I bought for the trailer is awesome... correctly wiring it ain't gonna happen! Standard military wiring does not equate to standard civilian wiring... go figure!
Watch and learn why the military electrical connections between truck and trailer are so wonky!

Are you trying to find some solutions to your bad tire vibrations? So am I. So I took my camera and mounted it to the truck frame and started filming. I suspected the passenger front tire... looks like a bad thread pattern. Swapping the tires seemed to work pretty good... about 85% better, but I am still looking for that magic sweet fix.

In this episode, I show a few more tricks to deal with a leaking wheel valve on an FMTV/LMTV/MTV. Namely, I pull the center lug from the wheel valve, clean it and put in a new o-ring. I also show what you can do to remove broken wheel valve bolts that are stuck in the frame of the wheel valve. Lastly, I diagnose the LMTV trailer's tire leak, and trace it back to back-pressure, allowing the wheel valve to evacuate the air out of one of the tires.
I also show the difference between a new wheel valve diaphragm and an old one.

In this episode, I add a 2 1/2" hitch receiver below the existing pintle hitch. I review the hitch plate assembly that I received, and show how to mock up and weld the receiver together. This will be a great addition to Malachai, especially when the Mission floods. I will soon be able to pull my Scout mobile kitchen trailer to high ground and feed the homeless from it.
