Then, they went to Drakenvale. They defeated the Dragon Pod and its Dragon Flowers and obtained the Dragon Grass. They also rescued Golem and learned the Golem summon spell. Now, they will administer the Dragon Grass to Krile's wind drake at the Castle of Bal. Galuf's World - World Map: The party resumes outside the Castle of Bal in Galuf's world. They enter the castle. Castle of Bal (time 0:31): As the party approaches the gate, a scene takes place. The guards are doing their jobs so well that the party needs to find a different way in. They hop into the moat automatically. In the northwest corner, they hit the switch to get taken to the pool in the southwest of the courtyard. A few of the castle's residents have new dialogue. The party stops at the inn to get some rest. On floor 3F of the main keep, the party enters Krile's room for a scene. The party heads up to the wind drake's roost. When they talk to the wind drake, another scene takes place. Eventually, the party takes off on the wind drake. World Map (time 12:19): The party is mounted on the wind drake outside the Castle of Bal. Now, they must visit Ghido. The party flies north. When they reach Drakenvale, they head east and north until they leave the continent. They quickly find a small island off the coast. They land and approach Ghido's cave. Ghido's Cave (time 10:40): As the party arrives, a scene takes place. Confound that Exdeath! World Map (time 12:06): After the scene, the party is mounted on the wind drake over the island that just sank. They return to the Castle of Bal. Castle of Bal (time 12:27): The party chats with the castle's denizens again. Only a couple have changed dialogue. One soldier in the throne room talks about Xezat of Surgate Castle, who is assaulting Exdeath. Interesting. The party heads out. World Map (time 14:18): The party flies back out to sea. West of the sunken island, they find a new castle on a landmass north of Drakenvale. They enter Surgate Castle. Surgate Castle (time 14:44): When the party operates the switch next to the castle gate, a sequence of cutscenes takes place. The Chief Guard explains the situation and leads them to the throne room. The party regains control in the throne room. King Xezat is out. The party takes the northwestern stairway. Outside, they follow the walkway north. The party arrives on floor 3F. In this video, he will do some more grinding. Heorot resumes in his Mog House in Bastok. He picks up some more Merit Point upgrades. In his delivery box, he receives payment for two Plutons, a Dark Cluster, and a chunk of Eschite Ore that sold on the auction house. Many thanks to the buyers! Afterwards, he heads out. Bastok Mines (time 2:09): At the auction house, Heorot puts another Riftborn Boulder up for sale. Then, he teleports to Misareaux Coast, Tavnazian Archipelago. Misareaux Coast (time 3:48): Heorot arrives at Home Point #1 at G-5. Just up the hill, he examines the Undulating Confluence to enter Escha - Ru'Aun. Escha - Ru'Aun (time 4:25): Heorot arrives at H-11. After summoning his Trust NPCs, he heads north and hunts some more Eschan Il'aern. In the process, he gains some club skill. Heorot accrues a Job Point for a total of 21 Job Points. When he has finished for now, he uses the Undulating Confluence at H-11 to return to Misareaux Coast, Tavnazian Archipelago. Misareaux Coast (time 1:01:41): Heorot arrives at G-5. Just down the hill to the west, he uses Home Point #1 to teleport to Port Jeuno. Port Jeuno (time 1:02:15): Heorot trades his Crests to Shami at H-8 for storage. Then, he teleports to Bastok Markets. Bastok Markets (time 1:04:01): Heorot trades his Copper A.M.A.N. Vouchers to Isakoth at E-11. Then, he teleports to Port Bastok. Port Bastok (time 1:05:02): Heorot visits the Greeter Moogle at J-12 and picks up a new Felicity Ring. Next, he teleports to Bastok Mines. Bastok Mines (time 1:06:57): Heorot visits Neigepance in the Chocobo Stables to sell off some loot. Afterwards, Heorot enters the residential area. The party carried out Quests 065 - 067, the first three. They will now conclude this epic quest line. Azlan (time 0:29): The party resumes in the church in Azlan, the Town of Wind. They enter the Lord's Mansion at C-5. Within, they enter Fura's room on the southwest. This triggers a cutscene with the Warriors of Valhalla. Sigurd issues Quest 068: "Nibelheim Saga", the fourth Azlan substory quest. The task is to rescue the Battle Maiden of Destiny from Nibelheim in the Molinara Underground Cave. The cave is in the Great Molinara Forest north of the Kilika Grassland. The party acquires a few Warriors of Valhalla (ヴァルハラの戦士たち) key items: Warrior Sigurd (戦士シグルド), Warrior Flotti (戦士フロッティ), Warrior Rijin (戦士リジン), and Warrior Hagen (戦士ハーゲン). The party goes outside and Zooms to the Great Molinara Forest. Great Molinara Forest (time 8:15): The party arrives in front of the Ranger Association Branch at B-8. They take the nearby teleportal to F-6, which is at the entrance from the Kilika Grassland. At H-5 to the northeast, the party enters the well to go to the Molinara Underground Cave (モリナラ地下洞). Molinara Underground Cave (time 9:26): As the party enters the cave, a scene with the Warriors of Valhalla takes place. They set out in search of the Battle Maiden of Destiny. The party gains control at A-2 in the northwest. The destination is the door at H-6 in the southeast. In a dead end at B-3, a black chest contains a phial of Magic Water (まほうのせいすい). Barrels at F-7 contain Mini Medal #116, counting the 20 Heorot has exchanged so far, and a Strong Medicine (上やくそう). A barrel at F-6 contains an Amor Seco Essence (アモールの水). A black chest at F-5/F-6 contains a Green Eye (グリーンアイ). A barrel at H-6 contains a phial of Magic Water (まほうのせいすい). The party examines the door at H-6 to the Molinara Underground Cave - Deepest Abyss. This triggers a scene with the Warriors of Valhalla. The door is locked. The next objective is to defeat nearby monsters to find the Nibelheim Key. The party fights monsters in the area. During the hunt, they acquire the recipe for the Fizzle Foil (まけんしのレイピア), which requires Smithing Level 44. However, they already know this recipe. After a few battles, they acquire the Nibelheim Key (ニブルヘイムのカギ) key item. The next objective is to take the door to the Deepest Abyss. The party takes the door at H-6 to the Molinara Underground Cave - Deepest Abyss. A scene with the Warriors of Valhalla takes place before they enter. It wouldn't be a Norse saga without some tragedy, eh? Another scene takes place in the innermost room. That Battle Maiden of Destiny looks familiar. The party acquires the Battle Maiden of Destiny (天命の戦乙女) key item. The next objective is to return to Fura's room in the Lord's Mansion in Azlan. The party Evacs out of the cave. Great Molinara Forest (time 22:55): The party Zooms back to Azlan. Azlan (time 23:09): The party rests at the inn. At B-5, a scene with Taketora and Fura takes place as the party approaches the Lord's Mansion. I wonder what that's about. The party enters the Lord's Mansion at C-5. Within, they enter Fura's room on the southwest. This triggers a cutscene with the Warriors of Valhalla. Quest 068 complete! The party earns a Gold Bar (きんかい). The party examines the door to Fura's room. This triggers another scene with the Warriors of Valhalla. Sigurd issues Quest 069: "Twilight of the Gods", the fifth Azlan substory quest. The next destination is the Forest Well in the southeast of the Eternal Forest east of Tsusukuru Village. The party acquires several Warriors of Valhalla key items: Warrior Sigurd, Warrior Flotti, Sage Thor (賢人トール), Sage Freya (賢人フレイヤ), and Sage Balder (賢人バルドル). The party goes outside and Zooms to the Tsusukuru Plain - Eternal Forest destination. Tsusukuru Plain (time 32:40): The party enters the Eternal Forest (久遠の森) at H-3. Unity Combos were unlocked when they fought the Ritteli Rhinon. East of the citadel, the party took out the Treehugger Gerald. They also carried out the quest "The Very Lost Nopon" for Guguru and Babalulu. Now, the party will go northwest past the Echoes of Gran Dell Citadel and continue their search for Glimmer. 0:00 - Game Load 0:33 - Aurora Shelf, Elevator Area The party resumes at the Elevator Landing Camp in the south of the Aurora Shelf. They skip travel to the Echoes of Gran Dell Citadel landmark. 1:20 - Echoes of Gran Dell Citadel The party follows the road northwest past the citadel. They find an Ether Channel. The party approaches the target for a cutscene. They set up camp. We swap to Glimmer. She is thrust into battle against two Skarn Volffs. She is a Healer, but these enemies present little problem. Another scene takes place after. Glimmer runs into a mystery unit. After the scene, she battles the Mystery Unit Captain and two Mystery Unit Soldiers. This is hard or impossible to win. Another scene takes place afterwards. The unit's leader is quite familiar, if a bit older than when we last saw him in Xenoblade Chronicles 1. 14:03 - Clifftop Camp We return to Matthew, A, and Nikol at the Clifftop Camp rest area. After some dialogue, they continue northeast. They fight past an Incursion with Galde Volffs. Behind the elite Volff on the hill, there is an Ether Channel. The party approaches the target to the northeast for a scene. Afterwards, they continue on. In the northeast dead end, they find a Container. The contents include a Wind Bracelet. The party turns northwest. Among some Aspar Eggs and a Menaas Aspar, they find an Accessory Unlock Kit. A uses this Accessory Unlock Kit and equips a Herald's Kneeguard. When the party reaches the next target another scene takes place. The Pioneer's Camp is set up. 30:35 - Pioneer's Camp The party registers a Collectopaedia entry. After saving, they rest at the Pioneer's Camp. A scene takes place. We cut to Shulk's camp for a scene with Glimmer. Later, she decides to make a break for it. Glimmer fights a couple of Liberator Sentries. Unlike the previous battle, this one is easy enough. More scenes take place after the battle. It doesn't look like Glimmer's decision was good at all. 42:25 - Colony Eta Ferronis Matthew and company eventually catch up. They join forces with Shulk in the battle against the Colony Eta Ferronis. Chain Attack becomes available with a couple of tutorials. Instead of Ouroboros Orders, Future Redeemed has Unity Orders. A Unity Order may be used if Chain Orders from both characters in a Unity pairing are completed in one Chain Attack. Afterwards, Matthew, A, Nikol, and Shulk fight the Colony Eta Ferronis. In this game, Shulk functions as a Defender. The Ferronis is no pushover. It can inflict Break and Topple. Another scene takes place after the battle. The Moebius has a surprise in store, but fortunately, another blast from the past shows up to help. This concludes Chapter 2. I save the game.
