Born: 10 December 1957 in Kensington, London, England, UK.
Hardcastle enjoyed success on the underground dance scene in the early 1980s before, under the management of Simon Fuller (2), breaking into the mainstream with his hit single"19", an international smash which spent five weeks at number one in the UK. In the latter half of the 1980s he specialised in TV soundtrack work, and now records mainly under the pseudonym The Jazzmasters.
Due to contractual restrictions he was unable to release music under the Hardcastle name. So under the pseudonym The Deff Boyz, he released a 12" single entitled "Swing" (1990), which crashed in at #4 on Billboards 12" sales chart and was a massive hit all over Europe. Another project under the name LFO also saw massive sales.
In 1997, Paul did some work for the movie "Spice World", later working as a radio presenter in the US. He has sold over 20 million records worldwide.
He is married to his teenage sweetheart Dolores Hardcastle (born Dolore Baker) and together they have 3 children: Maxine Hardcastle, Paul Hardcastle Jr., and Richard Hardcastle.
His younger sister is Susan Hardcastle, who lent her voice to the backing vocals for the song "Fooling Yourself".

He started his career as a member of The Forminx. In the sixties, he was a founding member of Aphrodite's Child along with Demis Roussos and Lucas Sideras. He also enjoyed succes as part of Jon & Vangelis early in the eighties. A talented composer, producer and musician, Vangelis is famous for composing soundtracks to films such as 'Blade Runner', 'Chariots Of Fire' and '1492: Conquest of Paradise'. Vangelis has made over 60 albums, many of them collaborations.

Electronic band from Sheffield, England. Formed in 1977 by Martyn Ware and Ian Craig Marsh. Originally called 'The Future', but changed their name to 'The Human League' in 1978 with the addition of vocalist Phil Oakey and the release of the single "Being Boiled".
This original lineup lasted until 1980, after which Ware and Marsh left to form Heaven 17. Oakey kept the band name and added female vocalists, and it is this incarnation that gained widespread popularity.
Mainly known for a synthesizer based pop sound, in particular the song “Don’t You Want Me”.
In 1982 The Human League released a remix album, Love and Dancing, under the band name The League Unlimited Orchestra as a nod to Barry White's disco-era Love Unlimited Orchestra.

From the ominous shadows of Goth suddenly appeared two young girls in polka-dot dresses, flaming red lipstick, and hair ribbons. Looking like the brides of Robert Smith, Strawberry Switchblade made a brief splash on the U.K. charts and then abruptly vanished in the mid '80s, leaving their fans with a handful of collectible singles and one LP of deceptively sweet-sounding dance pop.
