Ants are social insects that live in colonies and are known for their hardworking nature. They come in a variety of shapes and sizes, with over 12000 species of ants worldwide. Ants typically live for up to two years, although some species can live up to a decade. They can be found almost everywhere on Earth except Antarctica, living in diverse environments such as deserts, tropical forests, grasslands, and even cities. Despite the fact that they neither eat nor drink water, ants get their nutrients from food sources such as nectar and other insects. — Ants are social insects that live in colonies and are known for their hardworking nature. They are found in almost all parts of the world, with more than 12000 species identified so far. The lifespan of an ant varies from species to species, but the average lifespan of a worker ant is around 1-3 years. Ants have many characteristics that make them unique amongst other insects. They have a three-segmented body with two antennae, six legs and two compound eyes. Their bodies can be black, brown or red in color depending on the species. Furthermore, they do not need to drink water as they absorb moisture from their food sources and get enough hydration from it.
