I was passing by in an upper-class development and this house literally stopped me in my tracks. I counted at least three or four different shades of blue and purple paint. These people must be on LSD -- and rich, too, as it looks like a very professionally done paintjob, on a house that's probably worth well over half a million. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UmoZDGwp24c
The Video CD (VCD) was the predecessor to the DVD, but it never really caught on anywhere except Asia. A variant of this was an audio/video CD (AVCD), which also contains audio tracks which can be played in any standard CD player. However, the CD player will also attempt to play the video tracks, causing a loud blast of digital noise and hissing. The time indicated on its display matches the length of the video, but you only hear noise, not the audio track of the video.
I demonstrate this using a Westlife AVCD from Asia, and then put the same disc into my computer to prove that it actually does contain playable videos (in MPEG1 format).

In the early '80s, the Timex Sinclair 1000 (a.k.a. ZX81) was popular due to its very low price, so Radio Shack designed the MC-10 to be better than the ZX81 in every way, including a usable keyboard, color graphics, and sound.
Unfortunately, by the time the MC-10 reached store shelves in 1983, the ZX81 was obsolete, and "real" computers had been so drastically reduced in price that the MC-10 ended up costing the same as a Commodore VIC-20, TI 99/4A, or Atari 400. Thus the MC-10 never sold well and was quickly discontinued.

Unfortunately they didn't follow their own advice about setting the recording level properly, so the sound is rather sibilant, although the Digital NR of my Pioneer T-D7 deck does an exceptional job of eradicating any trace of tape hiss, without muffling the sound.
