Celebrating one month since leaving for Conference, I decided to compile a video of short highlights of cheerful events during the weekend! Honestly it has been one of the best things I have ever done in my life, even more enjoyable than the four-continent tour last year! Never before have I made so many friendships and learned so many things beneficial to life in such a short time. Since the things learned in conference is best experienced first hand, I encourage you to apply!
The Phoenix Leadership Conference, organized by the Phoenix Leadership Project (PLP), is a 4-day retreat where leadership delegates from anywhere in the world gather to learn new leadership skills along with making new friendships in a positive, welcoming, and natural environment. It took place at Camp Winnebagoe, a short distance from Huntsville, Ontario. There are three programs at PLP: Agents, which are for high school students starting out on leadership, Advocates (Advos) are for those with a bit of leadership experience, and Leaders in Training (LIT), which is for university-aged students (18-25) ready for a more intensive leadership experience, which is the program that I'm in. More unique is that PLP was actually founded by a close friend of mine who previously attended other leadership retreats by other organizations. The Phoenix Leadership Project can be found on both Instagram and Twitter @plpleaders.
