Triang EM2 had been in a box for years and when I took it out it would not run.
With the help of KEITH M. I managed to get that top brass contact plate in the correct position then with further cleaning of the contacts and a bit of oil I got it running!
It has been going around the layout for about 20 mins now and has a problem at a couple of points but hopefully I can sort that too
Many many thanks Keith. What a great community

Build a Highland or Seaside model church from cardboard for your model railway. All you need is a piece of cardboard, some clear plastic packaging, black poster board along with some basic tools and a special ingredient for architectural effect.
This will be suitable for any Hornby, Triang or Lima railway layout.
For our North American Railroad enthusiasts this church would fit into your layout too and you can modify it to suit.
Follow me while I build my first model railway. It is named Partickhill Station which was the closest station to where I lived in Glasgow’s West end on the north side of the River Clyde.
The layout bares no resemblance to the original station but you will see everything from 50 plus year old model Steam to Diesel Locos on through to the latest railway technology produced by Hornby, Lima and Bachmann. And watch while I explore the art of miniature scratch building

Come to my model railway layout and see what is in my running session. Check out the Banana train heading to Glasgow and a weathered 9F pulling a cement train to the next building site.
