As they entered town, a scene with Anlucia took place. Now, they will explore Real Melsandy Village and then begin its story quest line, "Story of a Hero and a Girl". Real Melsandy Village (time 0:30): The party resumes in the church in Real Melsandy Village. They begin by exploring the town. At D-4/E-4, Berka has story info. At E-2/E-3, a red chest in the chicken yard contains 2 Kaleidoskins (幻獣の皮). In the house at F-2/F-3, a wardrobe in the bedroom contains a Flurry Feather (かぜきりのはね). For some reason, the northeastern house at G-1/G-2 is the Mayor's House. A wardrobe in the bedroom contains a Treasure Coat Bottom (トレジャーコート下). Heorot equips it for now. At G-4, a red chest on the hill above the bank contains 5 Slimedrops (スライムゼリー). At H-5, a barrel at the item shop contains Mini Medal #185, counting the 61 Heorot has exchanged so far. In the equipment shop at H-3/H-4, the party spends 23,000 gold on a Beelzebarb (魔神のムチ) whip. However, they don't have the recipe needed to upgrade it. Heorot pulls out the Fun-Size Forge and reaches Smithing Level 84. He upgrades the Skysteed Sword that the party bought in Real Gran Zedora to a Skysteed Sword +3. At the armour shop, the party spends 14,300 gold on a Seeker's Headband (求道者のはちまき), 19,800 gold on a Seeker's Gi Top (求道者の道着上), and 17,600 gold on a Seeker's Gi Bottom (求道者の道着下) for Mjoll. They also get a Seeker's Gi Bottom (求道者の道着下) for Heorot. At the bazaar at F-6, the party spends 4,500 gold on the recipe for the Queen's Whip (女王のムチ), which requires Smithing Level 62. They do not buy the Fake Moustache, but they pick up the available materials. Nice statue in the middle of town, but isn't the subject from Fake Melsandy? In the inn at C-6, a black chest in the northern bedroom contains 2 Super Medicines (超やくそう). In the southern bedroom, a wardrobe contains a Freebooter's Bandana (無法者のバンダナ). In the west of town, a barrel at A-5 contains a Special Antidote (特どくけしそう). In the pub at B-3, the party goes down to the monster bar. At E-1/E-2, a barrel in the north contains a Softwort (きつけそう). North of the pub, the party enters the small cave at B-1/C-1. A red chest within contains 2 Ethereal Stones (げんませき). The party enters the large house in the north at D-2. In Real Melsandy, this is the Faerie Tale Writer's House. In the entrance room, a bookcase in the west contains "Tale of the Little Hero Zankrone, Episode 1". So, Zankrone is a faerie tale hero? In the western room, a bookcase contains "Rendashia Worker - You Too Can Be Popular! Date Plan Special Feature 2 ♥". The door to the northwestern room is locked. In the north of the main room, Lude has story info. She talks about young Airi. In the dining room in the northeast, a wardrobe contains a Fighter Tart (ファイタタルト). The Fighter Tart's food effect reduces incoming fire damage and boosts experience earned in battle. On the second floor of the house, the door to the bedroom is locked for now. A bookcase on the landing contains "Tale of the Little Hero Zankrone, Episode 2". The party takes the southern door to the house's terrace. This triggers a scene in which they meet little Airi, who seems not entirely well. She issues Quest 226: "In a Faerie Tale Village", the first quest in the "Story of a Hero and a Girl" quest line. This starts Melsandy's part of the Land of Overlapping Destinies storyline. Airi needs help getting the flour she needs to bake bread for Rapetto, the storyteller. The first objective is to defeat 5 Minidemons in the Real Melsandy Granaries to obtain Melsan Wheat. Afterwards, they will have to take it to the Real Melun Watermill to process it into flour. Back inside, the party can now enter Airi's room. A bookcase contains "Tale of the Little Hero Zankrone, Episode 3". Er, it seems to mention Raska and Heorot. Bizarre. A wardrobe contains a Treasure Coat Top (トレジャーコート上). After leaving the house, the party exits south at D-8/E-8 to the Real Melsandy Granaries. There, they learned the Ifrit summon. Then, they defeated Byblos and rescued Mid, Cid's grandson. Afterwards, they did some grinding. Faris learned the job command !Control, which is helpful for learning many Blue Magic spells. Now, the party will revisit Cid in Karnak. This will lead to them getting a new form of transportation. Then, they will do some more grinding so they can safely learn Level 5 Death. I start by showing the current state of the Bestiary. Then, I load the game. World Map (time 0:44): The party resumes outside Karnak. They enter town. Karnak (time 1:11): The party goes to the armory. They pick up a couple more Mythril Swords, a Mytrhil Spear, and another Kunai. Then, they go to the pub. When they go upstairs to Cid's room, a scene with Cid and Mid takes place. Eventually, Cid and Mid leave to start working on the Fire-Powered Ship. The party leaves town. World Map (time 5:05): They board the Fire-Powered Ship. Fire-Powered Ship (time 5:12): As the party steps onto the ship's deck, a scene with Mid and Cid takes place. The party continues into the cabin for a scene with Galuf. He has finally begun to remember his past, and he has quite a tale. After the scene, the party gains control on deck. They talk to Mid and then Cid for another scene. World Map (time 10:37): The party now has control of the Fire-Powered Ship! They can sail all over the world. However, as yet, they cannot sail to the interior seas near Tycoon and Walse. For now, the party begins grinding in the seas between Karnak and the crescent-shaped island in the southeast. In the first battle, Faris uses Transfusion to knock herself out so she does not level past Level 20. The other three will be getting up to Level 21 so they can learn Level 5 Death from Page 64 in the library. In the seas near Karnak and the Library of the Ancients, the party can encounter Sahagin and Thunder Anemones. Note that Thunder Anemones absorb lightning-elemental damage. In the sea south of Tycoon and Walse, the party can also encounter Sea Ibises. Bartz reaches Ninja Level 3 and masters "First Strike". This ability boosts the chances of having the first attack in encounters. The party docks near the Library of the Ancients and enters the library.
