This weekend we finally got to check out the local Farmer's Market located at the Founders Park Pavillion. As wee were leaving, Cali insisted that we take a walk in the park, which I was going to take her to as soon as we put our goodies in the car. Little did I know what a beautiful wonder that's at this park in downtown Johnson City, TN.
I appologize in advance for some of the quick movements with the camera... I'll slow it down!

How to make a wreath for under $3 but looks like it's worth $30-$50! I already had the other supplies - extra ornaments, pine cones and hot glue gun - if you don't have a hot glue gun, buy it - you'll use it for many projects and fix things you already have. I loved my creation so much I made a total of 3!

Updated Dec 2017:
It's been over 2 years (over 10,000 miles!) and this thing has been with us on many, many trips across the country from being set up 1 night to several weeks.
We also opened it up for Makana this past year as we moved 3x this year and had several hotels stays during the transition - all so she could feel safe in a place she was comfortable with.
The playpen has held up well, no rips, no problems with the zippers, it's still going strong. We still highly recommend this item esp as Makana is now 16 yrs old when we travel, she still has a familiar area to go when all her surroundings "smell" different. If we could give it 10 stars - we would, it also was a temporary puppy pen for our golden retriever puppy we adopted in January but she quickly outgrew it (she was 11 lbs when we first got her but she could lean on the sides and it would cave in. Very helpful for transitioning to our home.
Initial Review:
This is a review of a Pet/Puppy/Dog exercise playpen or kennel substitute that is great for when you need a little help supervising your pet. We used it when we took Makana on a 5000+ mile road trip. This is before we started her cross-country journey. You may have heard of 4-star accommodations?
Makana gives this 4-paws up (in a good way). It prevents her mom & dad from having to leave her in a small kennel while they are out and she stays at the hotel. Or worse yet, she would have to stay home with a visit from the sitter.
Note: After our first long trip from FL to Colorado and back - our conclusion is that we needed to be sure the zipper on the door flap - both zippers were in the upper part of the door as Ms. Makana - figured out how to push her paws through and escaped several times.
When we left her in the hotel room alone, we did it for several minutes at a time so she wouldn't freak out that we left her in a strange place the first day, then we tried the bathroom since the floor was tiled, but she didn't like being in the bathroom, with no windows just the light on.
Later we put her back in the main room as it had natural light and in her playpen and a luggage bag propped against the zipper door as well as on the opposite end of the playpen so she wouldn't "lean" on the walls which would easily fall over.
All in all, it was great as it folded flat, gave her a good amount of space, not have to be locked in the bathroom, the closed door freaked her out too, and we didn't have a gate. We would buy this again, but we don't have to cause it's in perfect condition, she didn't break it during the trip!
*This review is the opinion of Makana's Mo
