This channel is dedicated to all sorts of content surrounding the entertainment industry. It was originally formed as a repository of content created for the California Community College Chancellor's Office Department of Economic and Workforce Development Doing What Matters Initiative. Running from 2013-2018, numerous events and assets were created to enhance anyone interested in entertainment as a career to find the best career pathways in. In order to support that effort, a series of videos were created that dealt with "below-the-line" or "crafts" positions, which are often not taught in regular curriculum.
The program further expanded to include digital assets that might be amusing to general students. Dan Watanabe, founder of this channel, was a grant director. Having attended high school in Japan, he found this also to be a place where interesting tidbits from his days in Japan could provide a nostalgic backwards look for his former classmates as well as be of cultural interest to westerners.

One of the biggest challenges in writing a screenplay is introducing your main character. Do they have a flashy entrance, or do we present them in their normal garb? Do they play up to a cliche that will throughout the course of the script be deconstructed or do they appear unconventional at the beginning and then turn conventional? We highlight some of these approaches, including the introduction of Paul Newman in "Harper," which conveys a lot of backstory without saying a word and under the credits!
