Since 13 October 2013 i have been curious as to how many speed cameras i cross paths with in an average year, year 1 = 26, year 2 = 26, etc etc, now coming up to 5 years, i have recorded over 100 speed cameras, due to local development since Jan 2018, we have not seen many locally, however, around Xmas Period, they hammer the general public, to keep up the Crown Revenue Collection for the Government Consolidation Fund (slush fund for politicians). since 1999 where they made $48 million, they have now almost doubled, and in 2017 NZ police collected over $86 million for speeding tickets. Combine that with what Auckland Council made in parking tickets of $60 million and almost $150,000,000 made in just one year, to those that claim it is not revenue collection.
