Though I only knew Rick for a year, he had a big impact on my life. The way the Lord saved him was incredible to me. He was in many ways, like a stick snatched from the fire. He called me his best friend. We had a lot in common, especially with our music tastes. The Lord extended the time of Ricks life, so he could be saved. His spirit and heart was very tender towards the Lord. Something that the Lord really worked through him. When I discovered he had cancer, I prayed the Lord would heal him. But deep down I also had the realization, the Lord might heal him by taking him home? This is what the Lord did! At his death we were all able to look back and see Gods amazing plan to bring Rick to Himself. We all marveled as we looked back on Ricks final year, seeing how the Lord had moved people as his instruments to orchestrate Rick’s salvation.
