Pidgeot will use Swagger to confuse the target and Double Team to raise its evasiveness stat. During your post-game quest, go to the Game Freak building at Castelia City and go to the 22nd floor. This is based on the 22nd floor of the Taishido Carrot Tower located in Setagaya, Tokyo, Japan, where Game Freak’s headquarters are. Talk to Shigeki Morimoto and he will battle you, which can be done once a day. Liepard will use Fake Out to strike first and make the target flinch along with Grass Knot to more damage on heavier targets. All 3 elemental monkeys hold a Petaya Berry that boost the Special Attack stat when their HP is half below maximum. Swoobat will use Endeavor to match the target’s HP with the amount the user has left. Zebstrika will use Flame Charge to speed up and Giga Impact for big damage but will have to recharge the next turn. Make sure you have a good variety of moves for this battle.

After an Albatoss drops a Bob-omb, ride the platforms on the lines, but watch for saws along the way. You’ll get 3 Yoshi Coins as you ride along, depending on which platform of the trio you’re on. Once you make it to the next landing, the checkpoint is there. Cling onto the rope and it will move on its line. The 4th Yoshi Coin is by one of the rope lines. At a section with saws on their lines, the 5th Yoshi Coin is there. Continue along and you’ll reach the goal.

In this underwater stage, eye statues and Darknuts will appear. Once you advance far enough, Bago-Bagos will swim by. After collecting some Rupees and navigating a dangerous path underwater, use the pipe to return to the surface. Scale the stairway and you’ll reach the flagpole.

The gym of Snowpoint City has icy floors that make you skate. Battle some trainers and destroy the snowballs as you skate along. Solve the puzzle and you’ll battle the gym leader. Candice uses Ice type Pokémon. Snover will use Ingrain to restore HP with the ineligibility to switch out along with Razor Leaf for critical hits. Sneasel will use Slash for critical hits and Faint Attack for never-miss strikes. Medicham will use Bulk Up to power up along with Force Palm to paralyze targets and Ice Punch to freeze targets. When Abomasnow is sent out, its Snow Warning ability summons hail that lasts until the weather effects are replaced. Abomasnow will use Swagger to confuse opponents and put them to sleep with Grasswhistle. After the battle, you’ll receive the Icicle Badge and a TM72 (Avalanche). The user moves last when using this move, but if it takes damage on the same turn, Avalanche has double the power.

After getting the National Dex, go to the Sailor’s house at Canalave City and he will tell you about a Pokémon that tormenting a sleeping boy. The boat will take you to Fullmoon Island where Cresselia awaits. After you interact with Cresselia, it will leave a Lunar Wing behind and roam all over Sinnoh. Use the Marking Map on the Pokétch to track the movements of roaming Pokémon. Cresselia is on Level 50. Remember, roaming Pokémon flee on the first turn. If you still have the Master Ball, you can use it. Otherwise, have a Pokémon that knows Mean Look and use Dusk Balls at night. If Cresselia reaches Level 84, it will learn its signature move called Lunar Dance. When the Lunar Dance is used, the user faints and the next Pokémon sent out will be fully healed.

There are several items lying around in the Power Plant. You may mistakenly interact with and be attacked by a Voltorb by some of the items on the ground. If you do, you’ll be engaged with a battle with one of these. Voltorb is on Level 40. The best idea is to paralyze it then draw out some Great Balls. Catch it quickly before it uses Selfdestruct.

After getting the National Dex, you’ll notice that Route 214 has expanded with a road that leads to the Turnback Cave. Inside the Turnback Cave, use Defog and surpass 3 pillars to find Giratina. Save your game before you interact with it. Giratina is on Level 70. Its signature move is Shadow Force. The user evades all of the opponent’s moves by vanishing the first turn and striking the next turn. Shadow Force will strike even if the target uses Protect or Detect. Dusk Balls are recommended to capture the opposing legendary.

As you go along, watch for falling icicles. Defeat some crystal skulls and jump over some campfires. Jump from landing to landing and board the platforms when necessary. When a crow appears, just defeat it and continue crossing. Further down the road, crystal skulls, bats, spiders, and frogs will appear. Board a trio of moving platforms and you’ll reach the goal.

After a 20-win streak at the Battle Castle, you’ll battle Darach. The Battle Castle uses Castle Points, which are points you earn after battles so you can heal your Pokémon or even peak through the opposing Pokémon with the points. His team knows different moves in 2 different sets. Staraptor has a combo of using Endure, Endeavor, and Quick Attack. If the alternate team, it can combo with Double Team and Roost. Empoleon doesn’t get much benefit of its moves because its Special Attack is higher than its Attack per base stats. Don’t get physical with Houndoom or else it will use Counter. After the battle, you’ll receive the Silver Print and 20 BP.
