他也和陳達先生同鄉同社區,
從小聽著陳達先生的歌長大,
卻也不了解歌詞的涵義,
吳登榮先生成人後,
慢慢摸索學習,才理解歌中的鄉愁滋味,
吳登榮先生認為,彈琴是興趣,一種抒發心情的管道,
不執著於名次成就,隨心情起興吟唱,
每個人的演唱,都能有自己的個人特色。
都能純粹的,享受恆春民謠帶給其之快樂,
