I am living proof that you can be in a sizable caloric deficit, hit PR's, and still be high energy and high testosterone. It all depends though, each person has unique circumstances. But, carbohyrate loading is so f'ing overrated. I don't need carbs and you probably don't need that many anyways. Fats are great fuel sources and PROTEIN can be turned into glycogen ANYWAYS. Gluconeogensis. SO, what's the deal?
