Family trip to the north of Thailand in July 2020, our first trip after Covid-19 lockdown has ended.
The video is of the trail in Mae Surin Waterfall National Park, Mae Hong Son, Thailand. If you stay at Fern Resort (highly recommended), the trail is just behind the resort itself.
Slightly over 8 kilometers long, but nothing technical, though I would highly suggest to start in the morning because in the afternoon it will get quite humid. I also recommend bringing a bottle of water each, and also make sure you've had plenty to drink prior.

The renovated Suvarnabhumi bike track is now known as the Happy and Healthy Bike Lane! Rather a long name, but who cares, it's a great place to ride your bike without having to worry about being rear-ended by a car.
It now comes with more facilities including toilets and shower area, plus food & beverage vendors, and a couple of bike shops. Oh, there's also a 1.5-kilometer running track, a bit on the short side, but that's fine.
I was riding a heavy chromoly mountain bike this time around, and at certain points, the side wind was enough to make me move sideways, can't imagine what it would be like on a light carbon road bike. Also, there's headwind to challenge, for road bikes it should be a problem as you are huddled down in an aero position, by my mountain bike was like a sail.
The track is 23.5 kilometers, it seems like a short distance, but the wind makes you realize differently.
Proper gear is required, shoes, helmets, etc. and lights if you are riding before sunrise and after sunset.
Highly recommended if you want to kill a couple of hours, cycling+coffee+chitchat+bike shopping :)

A walk through Wat Phra Keo, otherwise known as the Temple of the Emerald Buddha. The temple is regarded as the most sacred Buddhist temple in Thailand, therefore appropriate dress is required to visit this temple.
The full official name is Wat Phra Si Rattana Satsadaram, though this is rarely used by locals. The complex consists of a number of buildings within the precincts of the Grand Palace, in the historical centre of Bangkok and dates back to the Rattanakosin era (early 18th century)
The main temple building is the central ubosoth, which houses the Emerald Buddha. Though green in color, the Buddha is actually carved from a single piece of jade, and though only 17 inches tall, is the most revered object in Thailand. Also within the grounds are several palaces, used for various occasions: the Funeral Palace, Reception Palace, Throne Hall, Coronation Hall, and the Royal Guest House. The majority of halls and palaces can be viewed from outside only, but the exteriors are captivating enough to please.

Suan Rot Fai / Railway Park is hardly ever known by it's proper name Vachirabenjatas Park, but the park has a great cycling path. If you do not have a bicycle, not to worry, there are bike rentals just outside the park gate.
You can basically spend all day here walking, jogging, cycling, watching the birds, monitor lizards, visiting the Bangkok Butterfly Garden and Insectarium, etc.
Should you get hungry, there is a small shop selling drinks & snacks inside the park, and 3 restaurants connected to the park.

I have a large variety of birds in my garden, my son made a birdhouse where they can nest, however, we haven't been successful in finding an occupant yet. I decided to place some bread in to perhaps tease them to check out a possible new abode, but ended up with a noisy little squirrel instead.
This particular breed is a Finlayson's squirrel or the variable squirrel, a species of rodent in the family Sciuridae. It is found in Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam. The species occurs in a wide range of wooded habitats, including gardens and parks in cities like Bangkok.
