In this video today I am going to share with you an interview with Michael Saylor in which he will talk about his definition of inflation and the role of Bitcoin as inflation hedge. Why I am doing this? Well, I am doing this because we all hear all the time from politicians and central bankers that they are aiming to sparkle the inflation and they would like to see it in the range of 2-3%. So basically, what we got is the most dovish central bankers in history who are on a mission to spur inflation but failing for many years. At the same time, I think we all see and can experience that the price for things we want, we need and aspire for are going up and up and up and in my opinion and I think you will agree with me the prices for these items go up more than 2% YOY. So how governments and central bankers measuring inflation? They used index called CPI. So what is CPI exactly and what it consists of? In the nutshell CPI measures the average change in prices over time that consumers pay for a basket of goods and services. So, what Michael Saylor will be talking about in this video is not CPI. He has a very interesting view on how the inflation should be measured and what goods, services & assets should be included in the basket to measure inflation. He will be also talking about the best investment you can do in order to get wealthy or stay wealthy depending on your situation. Michael Saylor has a strong opinion about the CPI index and that it consist of unrealistic, deflationary items in the basket and it doesn’t include goods and services as well as assets we really desire as a humans. For him inflation is measure of the rate at which scarce assets are appreciating in value basically the price we need to pay for these scare assets is going up. He also thinks that if we include for example housing into CPI index that inflation would be much higher potentially in the range of 6-7% (depending on where the property is located) In addition if we would add to this basket of goods and services used to measure CPI other assets like for example stocks the CPI would be close 20-25% which is huge difference from what FED, ECB and other central banks are telling us.
