Teardown of a Monitor 10MHz 1ppm TCXO oscillator, which failed. Unfortunately I couldn't find any information on the WF10192 chip, which I foolishly called an op-amp in the video. Seems like some kind of a frequency divider.
A memory module for Fluke 199C (or 199B, or 196B, or 196C, or 192B) was reproduced.

This receiver did not stay powered on, but clicked and went off and on repeatedly. The problem seemed to be with some sort of a glue, which was supposed to hold large capacitors in place, but it turned brittle and corrosive. So a diode was damaged and a PCB trace was eaten away by this corrosion. After replacing the diode, restoring the trace, and replacing a capacitor (not a bad one, but just in case), the receiver came back to life.

This piano did not power up. The problem was traced to a broken off soldering joint on the power connector. After fixing this problem the piano worked perfectly fine.

The piano had non-working B4 key. The keyboard was taken apart and fixed. The problem was found to be with a rubber contact pad that got stuck in a strange twisted position somehow.

This is a followup to the Fluke 97 Li-ion Battery Upgrade video. A very cheap Fluke 99 was picked up on eBay with some problems. A Lipo pack was built for it. This time the charging voltage was adjusted from 8V to 8.4V, and also the charging current was doubled.

This power supply did not regulate properly, showed extra commas on the display and started to smell after enabling the output for a while. A burnt tantalum capacitor was found on the front panel board and also some mysterious shorts on two boards: unidentified one on the power board, and one sort between two pins under a display driver chip.

A sheet of paper was added between the spacer and the overlay film, a few more things were tried as well. It seems that a thicker spacer should help, but I don't have the means to make one at the moment.

Step two in repairing this function generator. It turned out that another problem was missed somehow. Apparently a 2N5583 transistor in the final stage of the output amplifier has failed as well. I am quite surprised that the problem didn't manifest itself during the testing in the previous video.

The unit powered up but had nothing on the display. It turned out that the VFD was shattered. A replacement was fitted. Basic load testing was performed.
