Abandoned FedEx/Kinkos in 2022! (Cheyenne, WY)
Cheyenne’s original FedEx Office, previously FedEx/Kinko’s and Kinko’s Copy and Print is now closed! Join us as we see what is left of the old location!
This building was built in 1975 most likely as it’s former self, Kinko’s Copy and Print. The building received an expansion in 1994, coincidentally sometime after the Google Earth imagery was taken that same year. It likely rebranded to FedEx-Kinko’s in 2004 with all of the other locations that also rebranded likewise, later trashing the Kinko’s name entirely in 2008; by 2011, the store had replaced the FedEx-Kinkos signage with FedEx Office signage. In 2021, FedEx Office began renovating a space on Dell Range Blvd, moving by March 2022.

Spirit Halloween took over the Ulta Beauty in Northglenn, Colorado this year! Super unique, here is what it looks like!
Ulta Beauty opened by 2002 (or sooner) in the Northglenn Marketplace which opened just two years prior in 2000. In the mid 2010s, Ulta closed. Supposedly it moved, but I haven't found evidence of where it moved if it did, so if you know more details, I encourage you to comment below.
In recent years, Northglenn's Spirit has occupied the former Sports Authority. However, it is now getting taken over by Painted Tree Boutiques, likely explaining the new location this year. Fortunately, it's literally just on the other side of the parking lot, so it's not hard to find.

The start of retail in 2021 is just around the corner, with 2020 coming to an end!! Here's a review of retail in 2020 and what you can expect from Optopolis on the topic of retail in 2021!
Optopolis plans to expand to more stores and restaurants, cities, and regions in the states of Colorado, Nebraska, and Wyoming and BEYOND in 2021. There will more rare finds and more local places that deserve to be documented.
Expect mall videos to officially begin in 2021. The time to document them is now, while they are still here, as many malls begin to fully lose momentum after the harsh year of 2020. It'll also be interesting to see what replaces tenants and even malls as a whole!
There is also anticipation of a HUGE expansion... SHHHHHHHH ?????

Gordman's in Thornton is now set to close. So per request of several, we are taking a tour of this liquidating Gordman's location.
Unfortunately I've been unable to find an exact date of opening of this location other than before 2007, as Thornton's businesses seem to go significantly undocumented. However, this location began liquidating about three months ago. Due to clubiris, the store temporarily closed, but recently reopened to finish the closing sales.

Bed & Bath and Beyond's new location in 2019 just might surprise you with the recent set of closures! This chain is beginning to struggle, yet they still seem to thrive, as Northglenn's location prepares to relocate across the parking lot - just in TIME too!
While visiting this Bed & Bath & Beyond, it randomly dumped cats and dogs as I sprinted across the parking lot. Shortly after reaching the back of the store, the employees and myself quickly discoverred a leak in the roof! Overall, this is a nice store, but the new one is looking even better than the old one.
This is literally across the parking lot from Sports Authority, which Spirit Halloween took temporarily for this holiday season, and I also have a video of it on YouTube, linked below.

Arvada’s Ruby Tuesday was around for over TWENTY YEARS before closing! Now that it is closed and abandoned, here’s a look at what’s left!
Plans for an Arvada Ruby Tuesday date back to at least 1996, the building itself being built in 1997 according to the property assessor. Unfortunately, this Ruby Tuesday was one of over 150 locations announced to close in 2020, only a mere few months before filing for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy.

Blue Federal Credit Union purchased the Cole Shopping Center towards the end of 2018 with plans to replace the now defunct shopping center with NEW RETAIL and their first world Headquarters!
As much as we all would like to save things from the past, the Cole Shopping Center was dilapidated after over 50 years of use, so it was better to be demolished. Blue FCU, which started as Warren Federal Credit Union around the same time as the Cole Shopping Center, decided it was time to build a new headquarters building which will house hundreds on hundreds of new job opportunities.
