It wasn’t until I read Laura Bates’s first book, Everyday Sexism, that I started calling myself a feminist. It warped my mind! I became convinced that all of my troubles were the fault of “Patriarchy” i.e., men, and the society they had created. I was incredibly isolated while caring for my elderly father, trapped within the feminist echo-chamber, and I wasn’t taking responsibility for my own poor life choices. I took my anger and frustration out on the people closest to me. I was emotionally abusive, while crying victim. I hate the person I allowed myself to become. After my Dad passed away I finally started picking myself up, and took a hard look at the person in the mirror. I was determined to change, started Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and with the help of some notable public figures including Milo Yiannopoulos and Jordan Peterson, I was finally able to wake up and recognise my own hypocrisy. Yoav is a long-standing MRA. He is the chairmen of the Israeli Lobby for Men and Boys as well as a member of a director board of two Israeli fathers' NGO where he manages the research and information department campaigning for the rights of men and boys in the country.
