The injured officer, who has not been identified, was shot and wounded at around 8:40 a.m. while serving a warrant on the city's South Side. He is 40 years old and a 16-year veteran of the Chicago police force in the fugitive apprehension team, Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson said during a news conference at Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.
Doctors said the officer was shot once in the groin and twice in his lower left leg.According to Guglielmi, the officer lost nearly a third of his blood despite applying a tourniquet on himself. The officer underwent surgery and was listed in stable condition.
"He came basically bleeding to death," said Jane Kayle Lee, the trauma surgeon who operated on the officer for about 2 hours. "He had already lost a significant amount of blood."
Blackman is also accused of shooting a 29-year-old woman while he was riding a bicycle in the Fulton River District on Wednesday, police Superintendent Eddie Johnson told Fox 32 Chicago. The woman was shot in the back but is expected to survive, he said.
On Friday, police released surveillance video from a bicycle shop showing Blackman at the counter getting a flat tire fixed just minutes before Wednesday's shooting.
Fox 32 Chicago reported that the fugitive apprehension team was trying to arrest Blackman when the shooting took place at around 8:40 a.m. After officers knocked on the door, Blackman ran out the back of the home and shot the officer
In a separate incident, two other officers were injured after responding to a call about a man with a gun inside of a South Side restaurant shortly after 4 a.m. Saturday. After the officers patted down the man and found his gun, he pushed past them, ran outside, got into a vehicle and drove off, dragging both officers before getting away.
The two officers were hospitalized with abrasions, contusions, internal injuries and possible bone fractures. Their names and the name of the driver, if police know it, haven't been released."

BX Press will be beginning a series on unsafe public servant drivers in Harlem and the Bronx. This particular accident was at the intersection of E.142 st and Brook Ave, the Mott Haven district of the South Bronx.
For many years, this area has been patrolled unsafely by sworn peace officers and public servants of the other public "safety" divisions. Public servants in this area are seen committing intentional traffic law violations on a daily basis. These civil service employees are reckless drivers in a culture of lawlessness on the streets. The vehicle traffic law of N.Y. for emergency vehicles is clear, it applies to these public servants, but they have been getting away with severe violations that endanger the public.
In this Aug 10, 2019 incident, one of the FDNY ambulances ran through a red light and smashed their colleagues who were responding to the same incident about an alleged aggression towards other rescue workers, from a citizen being treated or mistreated by other public servants.
The crash happened at around 4:08 p.m. at 348 Brook Ave. Four EMS workers who were inside were hurt. They were all taken to Lincoln hospital, a few blocks away and will recover.
Will these public servants who are unsafe drivers be properly investigated? Will they be held accountable? Will hazardous civil employees ever change this culture that is usually displayed in the economically poorest districts?
We will be bringing you footage and information for the public to redress their grievances and hold public officials accountable for lawless driving in the name of public safety and the color of law.

Effective on Friday, May 8, 2020, any person who is in a place open to the public, whether indoors or outdoors, shall cover their mouth and nose with a mask or cloth face covering unless doing so would damage the person's health. No person under two years of age or any person whose health would be damaged thereby shall be required to wear a face covering. Face coverings are not required for people who can easily, continuously, and measurably maintain at least six (6) feet of distance from other people. Face coverings shall also not be required of those who are developmentally unable to comply, including young children who may not be able to effectively wear a mask.
2. Effective on Friday, May 8, 2020, all persons are required to wear masks or cloth face coverings at all times when inside grocery stores, pharmacies or other retail stores. Police Officer applications have been significantly lower across 66% of agencies throughout the land for several years. Police officials blame their alienation by society on the Media and on society itself. By statistics, Officers are safer in 2019 than many previous years. Police shoot and kill nearly 1000 people per year and less than 45 Officers have been shot and killed this year, about 35 have died in car accidents this year, and 29 do to other causes. Crime has dropped significantly in the last 20 years despite high turnover rates (14%), and a growth in the population of around 50k. Many officers are now retiring, and police officials keep screaming that they need more money and more officers to do their job. Crime clearance rates are mediocre and in some categories just embarrassing. Police officials are missing the obvious according to several studies. Lower application rates and retiring officers is not the main issue that is driving society to not trust or honor the police profession; it's the lack of accountability, transparency, mental illness screening, and education that has hurt police agencies's reputation among the society. Nearly 1 in 5 agencies reported that they felt significant pressure to generate revenue through traffic violations and citations. A high amount of agencies were found to not have adequate resources, training, and strategy to deal with homeless people and the mentally ill. Lower ranking officers are "forced" by politicians, the courts, securities and prison industries, and higher ranking officers who serve them to generate revenue, spread propaganda, and enforce eugenic policies.
Professional studies have shown that an Officer with 2 and 4 year college degrees perform better across many categories. Most agencies have low education requirements across their ranks and a significant amount hire based on political connections. Many agencies have less than adequate resources and an effective strategy to continuously monitor officers for signs of mental illness and treat their struggling officers appropriately and not expose the public to liability. Nearly half of agencies do not have resources in play to identify officer misconduct at the early stages. So much information is available to "fix" the policing industry that it is hard to not conclude that it does not want to be fixed. It is too profitable of a problem. Many police officials keep repeating that the media is not on their side, the truth is that the corporate media is very much on their side.
Police are being trained to be fearful for their life above other life an indoctrinated into social eugenic policies. They are having severe career issues as a result of this work environment that they have created and the society suffers the consequences.
