Asteroid's: Killers From Space - Space Documentary
The Chelyabinsk meteor was a superbolide caused by a near-Earth asteroid that entered Earth's atmosphere over Russia on 15 February 2013, with a speed of 19 kilometres per second.
Since 2004, NASA's Cassini spacecraft has been orbiting Saturn making amazing discoveries about the planet's swirling storms, menagerie of moons, and radical ring system. The Cassini mission recently ended on September 15, 2017 when the spacecraft dove into the cloud tops of Saturn; leaving behind a wake of scientists’ tears and hopeful predictions for the future of planetary science. Many of the lessons of Saturn can be applied elsewhere in our solar system and to worlds around other stars, including giant planet weather patterns, moon construction, and potential habitable environments. Dr. Meinke will strive to condense this historic 13 year voyage into 45 minutes as she celebrates the highlights of a mission that changed our understanding of the solar system.

In 1977, NASA's twin Voyager spacecraft embarked on an incredible journey to the outer planets and beyond. After delivering stunning images of Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune, the probes sailed on to study the boundary of our heliosphere, the bubble that encompasses our sun, planets and solar wind. Voyager 1 crossed that frontier in August 2012, becoming the first human-made object in interstellar space, while Voyager 2 is expected to enter the space between the stars in the coming years.

Titan is the largest moon of Saturn. It is the only moon known to have a dense atmosphere, and the only object in space other than Earth where clear evidence of stable bodies of surface liquid has been found.

Elon Musk posted the “last picture” of Starman and on Instagram, though it’s such a nice frame that one suspects it’s probably the best of its last final minutes. At a press conference yesterday, he prepared us all for the inevitable shutdown of the most strangely fascinating live stream since Puddle Watch.

Since 1991 the German Antarctic Station GARS O’Higgins has been operated by the German Aerospace Center in cooperation with the Federal Agency for Cartography and Geodesy. The station is located about 30 km west of the northern tip of the Antarctic Peninsula in the direct vicinity of the Chilean Antarctic Base General Bernardo O'Higgins. The station’s most important scientific instrument is a 9-m antenna system designed for use in extreme Antarctic conditions. It is used to acquire satellite data, telecommand satellites, and also for geodetic radio telescope measurements. A wide range of Earth observation data from European and German satellite missions has been collected with this antenna system since 1991. These data have provided important insights into the climate and environmental changes at the Antarctic Peninsula for over 20 years.

NASA’s Juno mission began orbiting Jupiter on July 4 of last year. Since that time, the solar-powered spacecraft has performed eight science passes of the solar system’s biggest planetary body, representing a quarter of its planned primary mission. This media briefing will include Juno’s latest findings on its iconic Great Red Spot, radiation fields and atmospheric dynamics.

Buzz Aldrin is an American engineer and former astronaut. As the Lunar Module Pilot on Apollo 11, he was one of the first two humans to land on the Moon, and the second person to walk on it. He also went into orbit on the Gemini 12 mission, finally achieving the goals for EVA (space-walk work) that paved the way to the Moon and success for the Gemini program; he spent over five hours on EVA on that mission.
