I got a Christmas gift today - those wonderful musicians with whom we will create together. Somewhere in the mountains of Chiapas, in the middle of nowhere, we are singing an immortal Leonard Cohen song. And this is the best confirmation that God loves us and remembers our needs even on his own birthday. Happy birthday, Jesus! Happy birthday from the San Cristobal people.

Fifty years ago best musicians gathered together in the New York state to send to the World their message of Peace and Love. They planned to sing for two days. Eventually they were singing for three days.
This year musicians from Sydney gathered in Annandale hotel to play Woodstock Tribute. We played just one night only. But it was great night. I'm sure everybody enjoyed the evening. We, Golden Salamanders, were happy and proud to be a part the concert. Even my flue didn't stop us :-)
JOHN WRIGHT, BLONDE BAGGAGE, OHANA, GOLDEN SALAMANDERS, CHARMAYNE AND FRIENDS, TERRY MOCSARI, MARYANN, OUR FRIEND BARBRA, GLEN & GLENDA, RODNEY ROCKHOPPER, RED SHIFT, LUCIE TIGER, DAVE TURNER, NOVABOSSA took part in the concert. It was hosted by an amazing musician David Turner and organised with help of the outstanding Russel Neal - Songs On Stage creator.
Unfortunately this video doesn't show all musicians, as Golden Salamanders could film only at the minors allowed time. So, last musicians are missed here. Sorry, guys, Australia full of rules, and many of them are completely senseless.

Tomorrow, 12 October, Tuesday, I will be interviewing outstanding person - genuine inspiration, who will change your day, and, maybe, your life. It will be at 5 pm Sydney time and 8 am Zimbabwe time.
Dot Bekker decided that it meant returning to the land of her birth after a 38 year absence and driving 20,000kms on her own from Europe, through 18 West African countries to return to Zimbabwe. Crossing the Equator in Gabon
Many didn't believe that at 60 she would be able to achieve this feat in a 20 year old Ford Transit that wasn't even a 4x4, just an ordinary 2WD, as she likes to say "ordinary African people drive through Africa every day in ordinary vehicles so I knew it had to be possible".
She shares some of her experiences and insights in her blog, on social media (Facebook/Instagram @goinghometoafrica) and in her book by the same name - Going Home to Africa.

We left Australia and played Farewell Concert in Sydney. Yes, all three of us - myself and my both kids. My daughter left to study medicine in Tbilisi. Nikita and I went in Mexico.
We played on 16 of February. Before the war. That time we had very clear plan for our future. But one criminal psychopath from Kremlin, supported by the majority of the population of his Mordor destroyed lives of millions around the Globe. Including our own lives.
Since the beginning of the horrible barbaric aggression of Russia against my home country Ukraine, all our thoughts are about the suffering Ukrainian people. Thousands are killed, tortured, raped, lost homes... Millions became refugees...
This ongoing tragedy changed the World completely. And changed us a lot.
Last two weeks we spent in San Cristobal de Las Casas where we presented our awards winning documentary "One Day with Doctor Sergio" for the film festival. We had really cool two weeks. And we were talking about Ukraine everywhere we could.
Now we are back to our base in Morelia. Here we live with fantastic friend Rocio and her family. And we feel at home here. Really, we feel that they are our family.
And we still thinking about Ukraine. And going to perform for Ukraine now.
So, this concert was the last concert before the war. It was our very last concert, where we were absolutely happy and did not sing Ukrainian songs and did not talk about Ukraine.
This concert is full of originals, this is our repertoire before the war.
We are traveling creators - filmmakers and musicians.
