Fujifilm XT4 | Firmware Update 1.20
Fujifilm has just released a new firmware update for the Fuji X-T4 camera. The firmware update Ver.1.20 incorporates the following fixes:
1. “AUTO POWER OFF TEMP.” option is added in the “POWER MANAGEMENT” menu.
* When the firmware is upgraded from ver.1.10 or Ver.1.11, “HIGH” mode in the POWER MANAGEMENT” menu is selected. Fujifilm recommends the use of a tripod because the temperature of a part of a camera body can become hot although the shooting time becomes longer.
If you take a movie continuously on hand, we would recommend you set the “AUTO POWER OFF TEMP.” to “STANDARD” although the shooting time becomes shorter.
*Resetting the SETUP menu makes the “AUTO POWER OFF TEMP.” option changed to the “STANDARD” mode. If you want to make a movie longer, change the setting to the HIGH” mode.
2. Display of IP ADDRESS in Setup Menus - CONNECTION SETTING - INFORMATION is added.
3. Improvement of shutter speed setting for TTL slow sync flash shooting.
In P and A mode, this firmware makes the slowest shutter speed slower than 1/8 sec. for the shooting used in a scene where relatively long exposure is required (ex. a flash shooting with night view background).
In case the shutter speed setting is AUTO, the shutter speed becomes max. 4 sec in P mode and max. 30 sec. in A mode.
4. Fix of minor bugs.

In this video, I share the Urban Vintage Chrome Fujifilm simulation recipe created by Thomas Schwab. I first found this recipe on Shark & Palm and discovered it was originally shared on Fuji X Weekly.
Based on Classic Chrome, the Urban Vintage Chrome film simulation recipe will give your photos a vintage, urban, industrial feel and while not for everyone, will certainly give your street photography a desaturated look. This recipe reminds me a little bit of Bleach Bypass.

Starting from the Berg Lake Shelter, cross the bridge and follow the trail markings for Toboggan Falls.
The water rushes powerfully over limestone slabs carving amazing shapes everywhere you look.

I've been told by my family I inherited my love of photography from my Grandfather. Funny enough I never knew him since he passed away shortly after I was born.
The only memory I really have of him is that he had a darkroom in the basement & as a kid, I would go downstairs and sneak a look into it whenever I went to visit my Grandmother.
Over the course of years, I ended up with a box that contained thousands of his old negatives. I think now would be a good time to finally go through them all and in the process maybe I'll be able to learn a bit more about the person I never knew through his photographs.
