Canon Powershot ELPH 300 HS Review
Here is a quick review of the Canon Powershot ELPH 300 HS camera. This is a pretty cool little camera to use for video and still picture taking. It has a pretty good assortment of options to get your videos or pictures just perfect. On the sample videos I shot I left the saturation and contract turned all the way down so it would drive me more room to edit in post. The audio you hear on the sample videos are straight from the camera. The audio is very respectable. For anyone looking to buy a camera to shoot great looking pictures on and also to have the ability to take excellent 1080p video with a few cool video features I highly recommend this camera. With the 24mm lens it has a wide viewing area so it lets you capture more of what you want. the 5X zoom feature amounts to about a 120mm zoom to really let you reach out and get those far off shots. As I mentioned in the video you should look into the CHDK or Canon Hack Development Kit to use for this camera. It is well worth it. This camera is available in three different colors. The black one that I have has a texture on the paint so it doesn't slip out of your hands. The red and silver camera have a very smooth finish that could get slippery at times. The specs on the camera and links for it on Amazon and Ebay are listed below.

Correction: When I stated that the Canon Digic 4.0 is a codec I was wrong. Digic 4 is the software that the camera uses to process images. A codec is a device or computer program capable of encoding or decoding a digital data stream or signal.
