IN THIS EPISODE: How do we define 'flagship' Linux hardware? Does this flagship hardware actually exist? In this episode I pose some tough questions that deserve an ongoing discussion.
Plus, a Discovery of the Week for people seeking a complete Google Drive solution, a quick chat about AMD's Radeon RX 5500 announcement, and a repeat performance from Demonic Sweaters!
Where's OUR Linux review of the new AMD Radeon RX 6800 graphics cards? Jason explains why it's not coming any time soon, and why AMD MUST do better to prepare popular Linux distros and their users for the newest hardware launches.

Please welcome our very special guest Niccolò "Nicco" Venerandi! Nicco is KDE's Consistency Goalkeeper, and joins us to discuss what it's like working with the KDE team, as well as offering his own unique take on a topic that's making big waves in the Linux community: System76 allegedly ditching GNOME and developing its own desktop for Pop OS.
There's lots of software picks, updates on our passion projects (like Games For Everyone launching!) and a ton of KDE love.

In this episode, Lana is back to recount her first experience with Ubuntu -- and by extension Linux -- in 12 years. There is some real talk ahead, with unfiltered opinions from outside the echo chamber. (Oh, and stick around for the bloopers). Plus, a Discovery of the Week double dose for the gamers in the house.

Community member, Linux voyager and elementary OS enthusiast @Schykle joins me to discuss a wide range of topics this week. We begin with a look at his distro-hopping origin story and why he ended up sticking with #elementaryOS. Then we dig deep into community behavior and both of us share some of our struggles in dealing with toxicity.
PLUS: Liam is back for another awesome Linux Gaming Report, and I read some of your letters about dual-booting and Salient OS.

Welcome back to Linux For Everyone, welcome /Home, and get ready for our longest episode ever! We kick things off with some outstanding job news from Schykle, then Jerry tells a horror story about his phone eavesdropping on his friends. We also catch up on our individual privacy journeys that kicked off in Episode 54.
After that, Jerry drives the Software Spotlight by expressing his love for the ridiculously useful media tool Rapid Photo Downloader.
The middle section of the show is highlighted by an illuminating interview with Mycroft AI founder Joshua Montgomery, that reaches into Mycroft's roots and its potential. Joshua also argues for privacy initiatives like the right to be forgotten, as well as the "corporate death penalty." But he also offers hope for the future of smart speakers and virtual assistants.
We're even treated to the first "public" reading of his new children's book!
In the back half, Schykle and Jason launch the new "Tech For Everyone" segment by discussing their shared love of the Apple M1 systems, Asahi Linux, setting up a Time Machine server on Fedora, and a related chat about the Linux and Apple software ecosystems.
Kick back, grab your favorite beverage, and let's dive in to this monster!
