Andy's Gastronomically Good Gaffs: Beefeater, Lydiard Field, Swindon
Here's a first for me, a chain restaurant. Sat next to Premier Inn, a fairly recent build just off the M4 motorway it is a good looking if somewhat "poorly" lit place, with areas separated by a step or two - thereby limiting where wheelchairs can go.
The food took an extraordinary 45 minutes to arrive for our group but it was mouthwatering.
My medium rare steak cut like butter, and the cheese cake was melt in the mouth.

DAY 11
I managed to off-load the burger, it really was disgusting!
Then we had a visit from the school officials to see the children. I missed the arrival but caught the rest. It was to find out the children's status because they had not been attending, and indeed that very day Dew did not go.
After that Dan had toothache and played on it so much we went 45 minutes through rush hour traffic to a dentist, who was Tad's Mum's Boss (or someone related to the boss).
The evening dinner was at the ViewThai, where we have been before. This time, mainly because we were the only people there, the music was excessively loud.

On the A4 Bristol to London, not far from rural Wiltshire, the town of Corsham has a railway cutting through but no stops, since the cutbacks. A shame, as the infrastructure is there and the town could benefit from a station.
A petition was drawn up to try and regain a station stop but 10 years on, no progress.

My first series set in north Cornwall starting near Bude and moving south towards Newquay, and across to Bodmin.
In episode two of the series, I visit various beaches around Bude and further down the coast. Most appear in the national trust book as "entry points to landscape" rather than "buildings" you can visit. Most of them only warrant a small paragraph in the book and this often means they are inaccessible to everyone except the able.
