A Canadian radio drama series, Vanishing Point was the follow-up to the series Nightfall. Though primarily a science fiction series, other genres were also explored, including thriller, horror, detective psychological drama, comedy, and on occasion even musicals. Some episodes were adapted from famous authors, but most were original plays.

Though not the first science fiction radio series, the series had a strong standing in the science fiction community. Many stories were based off famous science fiction authors at the time. The series ran from 1950 to 1951, then later was reborn as X Minus One.

Based on a story by Fritz Leiber. A story about a future ruled by the Thinkers, and the computer brain they rely upon.
Initially a revival of NBC's Dimension X (1950-51). Known for high production values in adapting stories from the leading American authors of the era, X Minus One has been described as one of the finest offerings of American radio drama and one of the best science fiction series in any medium.

2000X was originally released by National Public Radio and produced by the Hollywood Theater of the Ear. Plays were adapted from stories by noted authors. The show was hosted and consulted by Harlan Ellison.

Macabre was written by radio employees, none of whom were professional writers or actors. The show aired worldwide.

Box 13: Blackmail is Murder
Originally aired October 31st, 1947
A woman finds a dead man in her room and sends a letter to Box 13 for help.
Box 13 starred Alan Ladd as Dan Holiday, a newspaperman turned mystery novelist who placed an ad in the Star-Times that said "Adventure wanted, will go anywhere, do anything- write Box 13, Star-Times." The show follows his adventures as he responds to individual letters.
