Zoom is a free program that is used mainly for communicating with others via video online. However, Zoom is also a great screen recorder program. It is easy to use Zoom to not only record your screen but show yourself in the video on the screen you are recording. Zoom also has some features not many people take advantage of which are its filters. in today's video, I go over a few of the filters offered by Zoom. If you are in zoom you can access the filters by right-clicking on the screen.

I think the Polar FT1 heart rate monitor is one of the best low-cost Heart rate monitors available. https://amzn.to/2YBulrm
It is very accurate and is very uncomplicated and basic in its functions. It's also very reliable. if you don't need a lot of bells and whistles and just need a basic monitor to give you your heart rate, your average HR, and an alarm for a high and low target HR then the Polar FT1 is a good choice.
The one thing I don't like about the monitor though is the battery inside the chest strap transmitter is not easy to access and replace. Polar says the chest battery is good for 2500 hours of use and I read some Amazon reviews of people getting 8 years of use without the battery going dead but many people report the battery eventually goes died on them and they have to send it back to polar to replace or watch YouTube videos of how to replace it themselves. I don't have a problem with figuring out how to replace the chest strap battery but you need to know the downside of the Polar FT1.
On the positive side, the modes are so simple to switch and access, you can even hold the receiver on your wrist close to your chest and it will switch between different displays.
Many users report the Polar gives extremely accurate recordings having checked the polar against monitors in their doctor's office.
You can also wear the unit swimming or in the shower.
I don't think the cheaper wrist HR units like the FIT monitors are as accurate. I also like how you can set a high and low heart rate and have an alarm go off when you reach your set heart rate.
The chest strap is very comfortable and I understand it will also work with other more modern Polar receivers that have more features should you decide to upgrade.
I don't know why anyone who is into sports and exercising would not want to use an HR monitor to be kept aware of their maximum heart rate. The Polar FT1 is also an excellent tool for use in determining how quickly your heart rate recovers from exercise to help determine your heart health.
I will provide a couple of links below to the AHA which has information on how you can determine your personal maximum heart rate and also the YMCA step test you can do at home to help you find out how well you recover from exercise.
I have this HR monitor in my Amazon store but the prices have gone up too high on Amazon. You can go to my store and access the link to check the reviews but you will most likely find a cheaper price elsewhere. I only paid $39 for my FT1 in 2017.

In this video I want to talk about using a very low cost Olympus VN 6200 Digital recorder as a replacement for a wireless microphone if you do not have or can not afford a wireless mic.
I recently started using an Olympus to record my audio when I am out side and out of range of my external microphone cord. I have a wireless microphone but found I like the Olympus more as it is simpler and I get nearly as good results, plus the Olympus recorder can be used for many other applications. It is very easy to download the Olympus audio file and sync it up with my video using Sony Vegas.
Let me go over the cost and features. The recorder I use is an older model Olympus digital recorder that goes for 60 to 80 dollars new but you can but them used on eBay from tops sellers for 20 dollars all day long.
the model I use is the Olympus VN 6200 and it has an external microphone jack. I will show you a recording I did at the end of this video where I simply placed the recorder in my top shirt pocket on a very windy day without even using a lavalieres microphone and walked away from my camera and show you the results.
The Olympus will record digital files so you can upload your recording to your computer to edit them in your video editor. in addition, if you have the Dragon speaking naturally speech to text program, you can use the Olympus to dictate and then turn your speech into text if you have a lot of reports or are interested in publishing your writings on Kindle.
You also have the option to use the voice activated feature which will save a lot of batteries by only recording when sounds are present, this feature is very handy for capturing sounds automatically and discretely while you are away from a location.
Other than a tripod, I can't think of any other item you could buy that can do more for your video making for so little money.
The following short clip has the sound of my video camera on a windy day and then I switch to the sound captured by the Olympus recorder after I placed it in my shirt pocket and walked away from the camera. If I had used a lavaliere microphone closer to my mouth attached to the recorder with a wind screen the sound would have been even clearer.

Out of all the random topics I have covered in my YouTube videos on my channel, I would say I know more about the subject of picking thrift stores and selling on eBay than any other topic. However, I have made very few videos on the subject.

If you take daily medication, have you ever thought what would happen if the supply of medicine was disrupted? if you only have a 30 day prescription you are very dependent on a refill every month. Now is a good time to talk to your doctor to increase your dosage so you can increase your reserve supply of medicine while it is still available.
I told my doctor I wanted to have an extra supply of heart medicine in case of a hurricane, or a zombie apocalypse. He doubled my dosage and wrote a 90 day prescription I can renew for a year. In this case, I will have a year supply reserve at the end of the year.
this will not work if your medicine is very expensive and you can't afford to buy more , or if your medication is restricted like pain medication, but will work for many other drugs and gives me peace of mind.
hope this tip helps.

Hey everybody. I made this video a couple of years ago. I was surprised at how many negative votes it got and took it down with several other comedy videos I had made. I recently reviewed it and thought it was still pretty funny so am re posting it. Like Ricky Nelson sang so may years ago, " You can't please everybody, so you got to please yourself..."
Some of my favorite videos I have made are ones that have taken me the longest and have been watched by the fewest, like my story videos " R is For for Racing" or " Maktumbe's Toaster. I recommend all my subscribers go watch my story videos starting with those two which are the best.
I want people to like my videos, but am going to stop worrying if everyone does not.
Thanks for watching.
My Kindle book is free tomorrow on June 3, and I will be adding it free every 90 day period on Amazon.

How to make an LCD screen hood for the kodak zi8 using duct tape and velcro and some card stock.
The duck tape gives the card stock a lot of strength. The velcro allows you to attach and remove the hood easily or fold it down and leave it in place.
when you are done making this screen hood you will have one of the most useful and for me indispensable acessories you can have when filming outdoors in bright sunlight.
This screen hood will work with the other fip style video cameras such as the Mino and Vado.
All of the DIY videos on my channel I uploaded are items I created and made myself. I am cosntatntly adding more items.

I used a large can of peaches, some milk and my Vitamix 3600 to make a very tasty frozen dessert in 60 to 90 seconds. If you use cream or Half and Half or even regular milk you will get a more creamy flavor. If you use plain powdered milk as I did in the video the dessert will have a lot of ice crystals and be more like ice milk or sherbert. I had been going to add coconut oil to see what that would to the texture but I forgot.
If you have an old Vitamix 3600 with the metal canister you can freeze it to make the dessert more efficiently.
I froze all of the heavy syrup in an ice cube tray and did not need to add sugar. It was a little tart but still refreshing.
if you like recipes for the old Vitamix 3600 I have my Vitamix recipes in my Favorite recipe Playlist. There is also a guy who has a channel just on the Vitamix you might enjoy whose channel name is VitaBox. I saved his Vanilla Ice cream recipe video to my Playlist below.

I made this video for me. This was an experimental meal I wasn't sure how it was going to come out and it came out perfect and after I added the toast sticking up it reminded me of that scene from the movie 2001 I started laughing and I knew I had to film it.
The vegetable hash came out surprisingly well it's basically different vegetables I put into the food processor and made into little pieces and then put in a non-stick frying pan and slow-cooked for about 25 minutes with just a little bit of olive oil until it reduced down into a hash. it was scrumptious. I think the ingredients were onion celery carrot Peppers garlic parsley cabbage and olives with a little bit of Italian seasoning spices in salt and pepper,
