Descent Maximum (PS1) Link Cable Co-op Gameplay
This is a vid of my bro and I playing a few levels in Descent Maximum in the Link Cable coop mode.
The Link Cable is a nearly forgotten peripheral for the PS1 that allowed for what is essentially Lan play. In order to play this mode, you need two old gray model PS1 consoles with the I/O port on the back (the PSOne remodel doesn't support the Link cable, and neither does the PS2), two TVs, and two copies of the game. Anyone who has ever played lan on the modern consoles, will be pretty familiar with the setup.
Chances are, most people who owned, or played this game on the PS1, never got to experience the multiplayer modes for it, because of how expensive that setup would have been back in the PS1 days, and because of the limited sales of the Link Cable.
Chances also are, most people who owned a PS1 never even knew the Link Cable existed to begin with.
NOTE: If you get dizzy from video games, then you probably won't want to watch this vid for very long. The sometimes choppy framerate mixed with early 3D visuals in a game that allows for 360 degree flight can be a nauseating experience for some people.

This is a series of gameplay vids I'm doing highlighting overlooked games for the PS1. I'm playing on a PS2 with texture smoothing on.
Tail Concerto is one of the most criminally underrated games in the entire PS1 library. Don't let it's cutesy appearance fool you, this game is extremely addictive.
It's similar in style to the Mega Man Legends games except it focuses more on platformer elements over exploration like Legends does.
The game does have the occasional control and camera issues, and is a little short, but it's an extremely fun game to play, and an extremely underrated one too. I almost couldn't put it down to make this vid.
It's one of those games that that you have to play to truly appreciate. Watching someone play the game may make it come off as annoying, but playing it will suck you in. It's art style reminds me of a PS2 game called Sky Gunner (It's in my Underrated PS2 vids), or should I say that Sky Gunner's art style reminds me of Tail Concerto.
Tail Concerto is only available on the PS1.
Some of you out there may be familiar with this game, because it was a Japanese import demo on one of the Playstation Underground Jampacks.

I always wanted to play the PS1 original, and it's Sequel, but never got around to them, however, thanks to this Wii port of the game, I can enjoy this unique point-n-click adventure for the first time. If you're not into these kinds of game, this game won't change your mind. Action gamers will be bored to tears with this and other PnC Adventure games.
Games like these force you to use your noggin, and their gameplay involves solving clues in the game in order to progress. I really like this, and other PnC Adventures, and the Wii has a number of them that are worth exploring, games like Sam and Max, and Zack and Wiki.

I'm still quite bad at this game.
This footage was shot on 09-0209 and is online gameplay footage of the classic FPS Quake II.
I'm using X-fire's free screen recorder to record this, so as usual, the sound becomes unsynced.
As you can see, this game is hectic, but fun as hell. Just look at all the carnage.
Luckily, I know know how to take an in game demo of me playing, and then I just use the screen recorder to record the in game demo, so now I can't even blame my suckage on the screen recorder messing with the frame rate (like in my first two QII online vids), this is just all me and my own suckage.
BTW, a question for QII player Caution, don't you ever get tired of winning every round?
Note: I decided to be nice, and I lowered the volume of this vid. Otherwise, it'd be blasting you ear-drums off. For some reason the sound always suffers when I make a video file of this game.

I picked this one up recently in a 3 for $10 game deal. Like MTV Music Generator, Magix Music Maker on the PS2 allows people like me, who have absolutely no musical talent whatsoever make music.
I made this partial song in about 15-20 minutes of tinkering. It's interface is that easy to use.
It's really not a game, but an application. It's easy to use, and allows you to make all sorts of music. This is one for the creative types.
I let my "song" loop twice in the vid. It's not finished, and probably will never be finished. I like playing around with it, but am not sure if I could ever make a full length song.
I actually got it so that maybe one day, if I get decent enough at making songs with it, I can create other game montages, and put my own created music on them. That way I don't have to worry about copyright stuff from Youtube.

For a while there, I would go into my local Gamestop, and buy a tone of cheap, clearance PS360 games, because near the end of a console's life is the best time to buy a ton of games as they will never be that cheap again.
I knew about this game, an bought it probably over a year ago, but this footage is my legit, fist time actually playing it. Gameplay, and mechanics-wise, it's a so-so, duck and cover third person shooter. There isn't much special about it so far, outside of the actual story concept where it's a game trying to break the fourth-wall.
Granted, perhaps it's too early to comment on the gameplay, but if the first level is any indication of the rest of the game, I can say this game is worth a look, but it's far from spectacular. It's not bad, and the interesting concept might appeal to you. The mere $2.99 I paid for this game was well worth it.

I am less familiar with The Last Revelation than I am with the first two TR games, so I did cut out a couple of deaths, and some aimless wandering. I also didn't find all the secrets in the level, I'm sure.
I rented this game on the PS1 back in the day, and bought the PS1 version in 2017 and played far into it but never beat it. Honestly, I really like it. Core went for a more open world feeling. Not the modern open world equivalent, but there is a lot more open exploration in this game. You can't say that Core wasn't trying to change things up a bit, even though the average review for Tomb Raider was, "More of the same." The rarely mentioned the refinments in each game.
I recently bought the first four TR games off Steam, and I have found that the controller for the PlayStation Classic is the perfect controller to use for them. The original TR won't recognize the trigger buttons though. My hat is off to Keyboard players of this series. I probably could learn it, and be as proficient, but being a PlayStation TR fan, I'm the most comfortable with that controller.
