Is is possible for a client to create an arbitrage on their debt, by raising debt facilities on two separate markets, for example: raising (1) Bank funding via a revolving credit facility, and then raising (2) a bond via the debt capital markets. The client would represent the same risk level on both facilities, but would be charged a different yield on those facilities. A savvy investor could potentially sell their holding in the lower priced debt, and exchange it for a holding in the higher priced debt, yielding a higher return for the same amount of risk.
