Here's a little something I put together. I had this kind of jam come to me out of the blue today. I wasn't even thinking about Pink Floyd at all! So, here it is - from my tortured mind to creation to existence! To ME, this sounds like it belongs in the inside of 'Shine On You Crazy Diamond' - or even somewhere in 'The Wall'. If any of these chord changes or phrasings exactly match anything they did, it's incidental. I just decided to do some dreamy stuff in the spirit of Floyd.
SIGNAL CHAIN:
GUITAR: Glarry GST Strat - Bought for $50 on Ebay. I put $25 of parts into upgrading it (including a $18 YiBuy loaded pickguard) and a little over an hour of my time installing it, shimming the neck, and filing 3 frets. $75 later and I have a guitar that sounds/feels/plays just as well as a Fender!
AMP: My PC with Behringer UMC22 U-Phoria USB Interface AMP SIM: Guitar Rig 5 and "Plexi Floyd" preset I made DAW: Reaper 64-bit A/V RECORDING: OBS Studio
SPECIAL NOTE: For those that don't know, it is NOT ACE FREHLEY playing that guitar solo on the recording. That is DICK WAGNER from Alice Cooper's band (at the time). He filled in on this song and also played acoustic guitar on 'Beth' during the Destroyer recording sessions.
'Sweet Pain' is from the 1976 KISS album 'Destroyer' and is written by Gene Simmons.

Breaking out the Monoprice Goldtop for this one. I was just noodling on it in the early dawn hours of this morning to give it some attention and I came up with this instrumental. This reminds me of stuff that would have come out around the late 60s or early-mid 1970s. It reminds me of the vibe of New York City - where I spent a lot of my time as a teenager in the 1980s.
SIGNAL CHAIN:
GUITAR: Monoprice Indio 66 DLX Plus Goldtop Les Paul that was given to me by Monoprice in exchange of recording a few instrumentals for them. I did so and sent them to the rep I dealt with. It's an awesome guitar! All I had to do to this guitar was the same amount of things I did to my new PRS: filed a couple nut slots and did a complete setup.

Testing the old Led Zep on the new Chibson. Please excuse the self-indulgent fret stumbling at the end! haha! Couldn't resist!
SPECIAL NOTE: This cover was done with a BACKING TRACK from www.guitarbackingtrack.com . The original recording was NOT used.
'Misty Mountain Hop' is from Led Zeppelin's 1971 album 'Led Zeppelin IV' (titled by fans since the album has no title) and is written by Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, and John Paul Jones.

Never base an opinion of an ENTIRE group from 1 or 2 experiences. And never take the advice of someone who does. Think for YOURSELF. Brands are SYMBOLS. And, like George Carlin, I leave symbols to the 'symbol-minded'.

Well, it's Friday night. Hardly anyone watches on a Friday night. So, I was going to wait until tomorrow to upload this. BUT, the song is just too much fun to play! One of my favorite STP songs from Core, this one is just a Mack truck coming at you full-speed! The modded Viper-10 is just the right beast to manage it!
'Dead & Bloated' is from Stone Temple Pilots' 1992 debut album 'Core' and is written by Scott Weiland, Robert DeLeo, and Dean DeLeo.
SIGNAL CHAIN:
GUITAR: ESP Ltd Viper-10 (SG) - Bought from zZounds.com in early 2019 for $180. Upgraded in November 2019 with a $79 Seymour-Duncan SH6 'Duncan Distortion' pickup. It's a great pickup for sure! A bit pricey. But, it's a Seymour-Duncan. So, that's to be expected! There are budget alternatives, though.

'Call It Love' is from Poco's 1989 album 'Legacy' and is written by Ron Gilbeau, Billy Crain, and Rick Lonow. This is a great song from the late 80's from a band that had been around a LOT longer. Randy Meisner (former bassist for The Eagles), and Jim Messina (who worked with Kenny Loggins) were also in the band. Love this song!

IMPORTANT: My voice sounds like I have a cold. I have severe sinus issues and MANY health problems. So, please excuse the way I sound. ALSO, DO NOT OFFER ME HEALTH SOLUTIONS. It's WAY too late for that. Thank you anyway!
I also go off on tangents sometimes because:
1. I'm old
2. I'm eccentric!
The reason I go on longer that I plan is that this is my LEGACY. My time is REALLY limited in this life now. So, when I'm gone, this may be all that is left of me. And if I can help at least 1 or 2 people out, then that's all that matters!

Here's something of a Def Leppard test for the new PRS I got recently! It passed the test as far as I'm concerned! LOVE this song!
'Heaven Is' is from Def Leppard's 1992 album 'Adrenalize' and is written by Joe Elliott, Phil Collen, Steve Clark, Rick Savage, and Robert John "Mutt" Lange.
SIGNAL CHAIN:
GUITAR: Paul Reed Smith (PRS) SE Standard 24 - Bought for $449.40 from zZounds.com as a 'blemished' model. But, other than 2 nut slots needing to be widened, I couldn't find anything else that could be seen as a blemish!
