Our recipe of today is popularly called Ofada Stew or Ofada Sauce. It is mostly prepared using ripe Red Bell Pepper, chilli pepper, habanero pepper and other ingredients that you will get to find out soon.
You are guessing it's hot and spicy right? Don't worry the level of hotness will depend on the amount of habanero pepper you add. So, if you don't want much of the spiciness, use a small amount of the hot pepper.
Ofada stew is a very quick and tasty recipe that is very popular among the Yoruba's of the western part on Nigeria.
The Good part is that it has its own specific taste. It is prepared using palm oil but to be precise, bleached palm oil is used. So I bleached the palm oil I used ahead of time and set it aside.
Ofada Stew or Sauce is served with our very own popular Ofada rice which is also known as unpolished rice.

KuliKuli is prepared using raw groundnuts (peanuts), dry pepper, sugar, ginger and dayan miya.
Kuli Kuli is also known as groundnut cake or peanut snack.
Kuli Kuli is a prepared and often eaten for the urge of it or as Hausa will say “don marmari”, served with Pap or Garri.
It’s used to prepare soup and is also a source of oil for frying (groundnut oil).

Miyan Waina or Miyan Taushe is the Hausa name for Pumpkin soup and is mostly prepared and eaten in the Northern part of Nigerian with Masa/Waina or Swallow of choice.

I must say this recipe is very popular among the Southern Kaduna people of the Northern part of Nigeria.
It’s prepared for different occasions like weddings, sendforths, Tribal meetings, Traditional marriages, etc.

We Nigerians have a lot of drinks we prepare for our daily intake and one of them is Tiger Nut Milk which is locally known as Kunun Aya in Hausa.
Tiger Nut Milk is a special Nigerian drink that is prepared mostly for home consumption or commercial purpose.
It is prepared using Aya also known as Tiger Nut, dates (dabino) and coconut (kwakwa). Some people add flavor to it when preparing, but I won’t be adding any flavor to my Tiger Nut Milk today.
When you want to make kunun aya, it’s preferable to buy the big dry ones and soak in water for three days. You will have to be changing the water every day to make sure the nuts do not get sour.
