Ghostwire: Tokyo Misses the Mark | Review Discussion
In many ways Ghostwire: Tokyo is a solid game, and we say as much in this review. In a world with fewer games to play and more free time to play them, my brother and I would probably continue playing this game and enjoying it all the way through. But for various reasons we find Ghostwire: Tokyo lacking, in spite of its otherwise exceptional qualities. Check out our review discussion to understand why.
The game Chorus is a spaceflight shooter that follows a formerly genocidal protagonist. This is an intriguing premise for any game, and so my brother and I discuss the implications of such a story and how well the world and game design complements it. This is a review of Chorus in terms of its story premise and main gameplay mechanics, but it does not cover the full game. So no major spoilers to worry about, and the gameplay is not from deep within the playthrough. Enjoy!

This is an old video. A few weeks back we recorded the play session you see here, but we thought the audio wasn't good enough to upload. After re-listening, we think it's salvageable.
Consider this a bonus episode. Just a quick Let's Play of Enter the Gungeon. Expect a review of the game soon.

Games are so open ended that one person's experience with the same game can be vastly different from someone else. My brother and I tackled all the same quests, with much the same moral decisions, yet my brother took 60 hours to finish while I only took 30. Huge difference. In this review discussion we go over the effect such a difference in experience can have on our evaluation of the game. Enjoy!

Unsighted is a top-down action-rpg in the style of the Legend of Zelda. But it takes many of the familiar mechanics of those sorts of games—interlocking overworld, intricate dungeons, variety of abilities for progression—and expands on each in creative ways. The game does not overstay its welcome. In fact, the length is near perfect for what it offers. Check out our review discussion of Unsighted to hear our detailed thoughts on this fantastic indie game. Thank you.

Though they appear similar on the surface, Spiritfarer is the opposite of Animal Crossing: Animal Crossing is about new beginnings, plans, potential—each new villager is a slot along a grid of possible villagers; Spiritfarer is about endings and guaranteed loss—you are assisting in redemption, grief, and, ultimately, death. My brother and I give our thoughts on what Spiritfarer brings uniquely to the table and on how effectively the game mixes the various facets of its design.
