David Lynn Advocates For Child Marriage! Says 12 and 13 Year-Olds Should Marry Older Men! CFM Cult Update. Pastor David Lynn has started over 30 churches and declared himself an Apostle over them. Now, he is advocating for child marriage as well! David is making it more obvious by the day that he is a false teacher and his ministry, Christ's Forgiveness Ministry (CFM) is a dangerous cult. He states that the only clear text we have to understand the proper age to marry is 1 Corinthians 7:36. He then went on to misquote the verse and to completely subvert the meaning of the text, making a scripture that is actually about marriage vs remaining single to serve The Lord into a text about the prescriptive age of marriage. The way that he read the text would lead a person to believe that God is telling women to marry at the age of 12 or 13, and telling fathers to allow their daughters to marry at these very young ages. In fact, Jesus Himself called a 12 year-old girl "little girl" in Mark 5:41, making it clear that 12 year-olds are not adults.
