Saving and Loading Game Data + DEMO BUILD | Melorium Indie Game Devlog #12
Welcome back to another devlog, sorry about the inactivity lately, I took some time away and its taken a while to get back into the swing of things. I should be posting weekly videos again now!
In my time off ive been focused on getting the game ready for its first demo build; my patrons will have early access by a week followed by everyone else. I have added saving and loading data through-out my game, I want to fix a few more bugs and hopefully add some more content (decor/plants/fish) into the game before the demo release, so everyone's tank can have some variety :D No doubt there will be bugs or issues in the demo so if you do come across any when the time comes please let me know

Another clip of an old bug I faced; I called this one the squid bug, I don't quite remember what caused this one, it was an issue with loading the data of the fish type and location, which would cause clownfish to reload all centered of the tank and untextured, making them look like a weird inky squid that couldn't move lol

I am working on adding more customisation within my game both through adding new plants, decorations, tanks, sand types but also the game itself, there will be lots of settings that can make your game look significantly different to other players; such as background colour! Hey guys, I hope you enjoyed seeing all the progress and new features/changes ive made to Melorium, I feel like the changes defeat all the scope creep I was having and will hopefully lead to me finishing and publishing my game. If you're interested in trying it for yourself the current demo build is linked below.
Melorium is an idle aquarium simulator game and will be on Steam, Itch, Android and iOS.
