Bolivar Square of Maracay
Is an urban park located in the heart of the Venezuelan city of Maracay. It was inaugurated in 1930 by the then President of Venezuela, General Juan Vicente Gómez, and named in homage to the Liberator Simón Bolívar, considered in its time the largest square in South America.1 2 Located on Bolívar Avenue opposite the old facade of the Aragua state governorate, diagonal to the Maracay Opera House and next to the Dr. Efraín Abad Armas Urban Ambulatory, Bolívar square is about 320 meters long by 106 wide and has the characteristic of being a good shows how nice the vegetation can be in the middle of the city.
