Libertarians — Pro-Choice on Everything... Except Abortion?
Why is abortion such a fraught topic in libertarian circles these days? How have libertarians historically regarded abortion? What does it mean to be "pro-choice" or "pro-life" — and are these labels inadequate? Why should libertarians be wary of criminalizing abortion, even if they personally oppose the practice or find it immoral?
We discuss these questions and more in this Feminists for Liberty panel. Panelists include Feminists for Liberty executive director Kat Murti, entrepreneur/activist (and Feminists for Liberty board member) Avens O’Brien, writer and communications specialist Marianne March, lawyer Izabela Patriota, and Reason Senior Editor Stephanie Slade. The panel is moderated by Feminists for Liberty president Elizabeth Nolan Brown. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fHvMAjSiDCM

What can we do to free debate about reproductive health from the culture war and allow people to make their own individual choices?
Feminists for Liberty's question about the tug-of-war at the Supreme Court on issues surrounding abortion, access to birth control, and other reproductive health issues was featured at The Cato Institute's 19th Annual Constitution Day symposium
"I appreciate the real feminist perspective. Lots of women need to be able to control their reproduction; it affects their life chances," says Robin Fretwell Wilson, the Roger and Stephany Joslin Professor of Law at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
"We need to think really hard about the humanity of these questions, and try to find ways where we can recognize needs that people honestly have, but not ask people who cannot simply do that thing to do it."

About Terry:
She spent the first decade of her career as an engineer working on defense contracts with companies such as EDS and Unisys. Looking for a different challenge, in 1997, she made a career shift and moved into the non-profit and philanthropic world. Since then, she has raised millions in operating capital for various nonprofit and political causes including the Competitive Enterprise Institute, Cato and FreedomWorks. In early 2007, Terry formed Dagny, LLC, offering strategic management services to philanthropic charities and non-profit organizations. From 2009 to 2014, she served as chairwoman of the advisory board of the Rising Tide Foundation in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, and as an advisor to the Global Philanthropic Trust in the Cayman Islands. Terry was president of Curated Innovation, a medical research foundation which used venture philanthropy to develop breakthrough products that save and improve lives. She was co-founder of AlternativePAC, a super PAC which supported Libertarian Gary Johnson’s presidential campaign and during the 2016 GOP primary, she was a fundraiser and advisor for a super PAC supporting U.S. Senator Rand Paul for President. She also worked on Capitol Hill as a top aide to Congressman Christopher Cox. She is a member of The Mont Pelerin Society and serves on the board of the Friends of the Austrian Economic Center.
Most recently, she is co-founder and chief executive officer of Free the People, an educational foundation reaching young people with stories about freedom, community and disruptive innovation. Free the People goes upstream of politics, using pop culture, video, comedy, art and narrative to tell tales of liberty. She is also co-founder and partner at Fight the Power Productions, a strategic communications firm focused on video production, social media branding and distribution, and compelling storytelling.
Terry is a graduate of Grove City College, where she received her B.S. in Industrial Engineering. Terry is often embarrassed by her husband Matt’s facial hair, but is always proud of her Anarcho-CATipalists, Roark, Ragnar and Rearden. On those rare occasions when she isn’t working, she can be found practicing yoga, (standing on her head somehow helps her bring her life into balance) travelling and taking photographs.

Babies on Board!
In this episode of Kat and Liz Talk About…, Kat and Liz tackle the topic of pregnancy—specifically pregnancy while feminist—and how for many women, pregnancy represents the first time the state truly infringes on their personal liberties.
Whether it’s coffee consumption, treating pregnancy symptoms with cannabis, or simply wanting to schedule with a specialist, women are frequently given misinformation or refused adequate medical care—simply because they’re pregnant.

Violent video games may make a convenient scapegoat, but do not lead to violence or aggression, according to 28 different studies analyzing data gathered from more than 21,000 young people around the world.
In fact, video games may actually reduce real-world aggression, allowing people to channel their feelings into gaming consoles instead of other people.
Instead of looking for an easy answer, we need to address the core ideological and psychological causes of real-world violence—and find an actual solution to society’s ills, says Feminists for Liberty's Kat Murti in a BoldTV Millennial Minute debate featuring Libertas Institute Tech & Innovation Analyst James Czerniawski, moderated by BoldTV's Julia Sun.

If Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion were men, we wouldn’t be talking about WAP right now, says Feminists for Liberty’s Kat Murti in a BoldTV debate about the representation of women in music, featuring conservative musical artist Joy Vila, who made international headlines by wearing Trump dresses on the red carpet.
Conservative commentator Ben Shapiro says, “This is what the feminist movement is all about. It’s not really women being treated as independent, full, rounded human beings.”
But, he’s wrong: a woman’s sexuality IS a part of what makes her a full, rounded human being. There is nothing inherently shameful about women expressing and taking ownership of their sexuality.

Unfortunately, President Biden is far from the open borders advocate both his critics and supporters claim he is.
He has continued to detain and deport recent crossers. Children are being held in law enforcement custody in violation of federal law. And, it’s still nearly impossible to come to America—legally or otherwise.
America is a nation of immigrants and immigrants make America great—a point on which the majority of Americans agree, says Feminists for Liberty's Kat Murti in a BoldTV Millennial Minute debate featuring Democratic Strategist Nicole Brener Schmitz, moderated by BoldTV's Julia Sun.

The beauty of market capitalism is that the consumer is ultimately in control. While luxury fashion brands can afford to make a few errors in judgement, make too many and they’re out of business.
If consumers are concerned about the waste generated by fashion left lingering on the shelves, they will reward the companies that make waste-reduction a core concern, which is exactly what we’re seeing happen right now.
Flip through any fashion mag and waste is the issue du jour—and dozens of brands have responded with upcycling, circular design, zero-waste pattern cutting, textile recycling, and discounting deadstock—all without any regulations or other government measures to make them do so, says Feminists for Liberty's Kat Murti in a BoldTV Millennial Minute debate featuring Reason Foundation Policy Analyst Jen Sidorova, moderated by BoldTV's Julia Sun.
