Day 4 of self-isolation. I was hoping and praying I’d get my COVID 19 test results within the 24 hours, as opposed to the 48 alternative I was given, but no such luck.
Health wise I feel fine, just very mild symptoms. Of course, I’m incredibly happy about, and it tricks my mind into thinking that everything is ok…maybe it’s ok to give my husband a quick hug and a kiss…maybe it is ok, but what if it’s not?!
The devastating psychological impact all of us are going to have due to the challenges we’re individually facing while living with coronavirus is real. Covid stress is something we're going to have to learn how to cope with for a long time.
Maybe not everyone has experienced it directly yet, and even if you are lucky enough to remain immune to it directly, it will be nearly impossible to never come into contact with anyone who isn’t dealing the emotional complexities that are involved during any global pandemic, let alone one happening during one of the largest social unrest movement most of us have ever seen.
No men is an island. We are social beings. We need each other. That means we must have compassion for other people’s feeling. For what other people are going through.
We can’t snap our fingers and expect things to get back to “normal” (whatever that’s supposed to mean). We need to invest our energies wisely and use them in a positive way to start creating a “new normal”.
One that will make us keep us healthy, make us happy and most importantly, will not take our humanity away.
Today I’ll be sharing some of the emotional challenges I’ve been dealing with as I patiently wait for the results. I’ll be sharing some empowering questions that have helped me to stay on track and remain positive throughout this ordeal.

Welcome to Day 32 of 33 Days of Radical Self-Care with Vanessa Halloum - How do we tune in to the wisdom of our Body, Mind & Spirit and take control of our health, happiness and humanity
So what does self-care really mean?
How do I take care of myself?
Unless we're actively exploring ways to restore our energy back to balance we will continue to fall prey to stress.
Instead let's tackle stress before it even surfaces.
Let's commit to a daily practice of:
- Conscious breathing
- Body movement
- Balanced nutrition
By just focusing on those 3 things we can completely change our lives.
Who else it up for the challenge?!
Sending you Love & Light,
Vanessa Halloum

Ho'oponopono is a Hawaiian prayer for forgiveness and reconciliation.
It is simple and easy to do it. All it takes is repeating the following:
I Love You
I'm Sorry
Please Forgive Me
Thank You
There's something about repeating these words over and over that help you move through grief, anger, frustration, overwhelm and any other kind of negative emotion.
Start practicing it today and feel the difference in your body and in your mind within just a few minutes. It's an incredibly prayer we can all use at any time.
Much love,
Vanessa Halloum

People think it's easy for me to dance in public. It's not. I don't do it because it's easy. I do it because my soul begs me to. The truth is, I have denied my soul all my life what she wanted. I can no longer keep doing that…
But in order to allow my soul the freedom to dance and soar I must quite the voice of my inner critic and release all judgement. Easier said than done, I know!
These are the moments I draw inspiration from my amazing soul sisters: Dr. Shawne Duperon, Angela, Bettina, Xiomara, Carla, Jessica, Sunshine, Mary Ann, Irene and several more…
I hear their voices in my head as I know they would be cheering me on and telling me to follow my heart.
This beautiful song by Ayla Schafer makes me think of you and the power and beauty of sisterhood.
Thank you all for being in my life and for inspiring me to become the woman I am today! I love you all very much!

Welcome to today’s gratitude guided meditation. I’m Vanessa Halloum and in today’s session I will lead you through a guided meditation that will help you find the inner peace and calm you’re looking for by simply taking the time to acknowledge the gratitude for life’s blessing.
Each time we pause and take several moments to feel grateful, we are changing our lives for the better.
So sit back, relax and let’s meditate.

Sometimes we forget who we are.
Life happens. Things go wrong.
We get disappointed when our expectations are not met and allow stress get the best of us...
We become inpatient with ourselves and our loved ones.
I'm not proud to admit that this is what happened to me during my trip to Greece this month.
I got caught up in all of life's twists and turns and was having a challenging time letting go so I could completely enjoy my trip.
I had a series of very human moments.
Thankfully I was guided to do something I didn't expect but the moment I thought of it I knew I had to do it!
I decided I was going to dance with the very long red trail dress I had bought for my Santorini Flying Dress Photoshoot.
I figured I was going to either trip on it or it was going to look amazing!
I had never danced with something like this before or even considered it.
After the dance I felt everything that was weighing me down fall away.
They no longer had any hold on me.
Now I realize why.
My soul loves to express itself through dance...and when you're able to express your soul... you feel free again!
That's why music, singing, dancing, writing, etc...is so healing...
It's the Soul wishing express itself...
My heart was filled with gratitude, awe and humility.
It's amazing what we're able to achieve once we get out of our own way and begin to live our lives from our Divinity instead of our personality.
You discover yourself in ways you never imagined.
I don't remember ever feeling this BOLD and BOUNDLESS!
Thank you to my amazing husband, Sam Halloum, for capturing the moment so beautifully for me.
My question to you now is, how does your soul like to express itself and how often do you allow it to do so?
In Love & Light
