Fast Night Time Lighting for Youtube 3d Animation. (Biased Rendering).
Using a choice of lighting before rendering, to lighten the scene will help with youtubes encoding of night time scenes.
This tutorial although specifically discusess Carrara's own render engine, can be applied to any biased render engine.
I should add that setting up a contrast between any night lights (neon, headlamps etc) and the scene also helps the illusion of night time.
How to Build a Big Set. 3d Animation. (Part 1 - Overview)
In the first part of this 3 part series, I give you a rendered tour around my big set. It is modeled on a real place - Wantz Road in the East End of London.
It took a little artistic licence here and there to fit in with the Sci Fi Funk animated series, but otherwise it's pretty true to the real thing as it was in 2013.
Low Poly People Mass Walk Loops Tutorial (Part 1)
Following on from my low poly people series, I show how to incorporate many of them (replicated using replica by inagoni), into a single scene, animated (with the BVH Carnegie mocaps).
3d Animation. Mocap Experiments #4.
Using the ipisoft mocap software in conjunction with DAZ 3d and Carrara, I demostrate the steps required to turn a piece of mocap into a working animation.
Carrara Tube lighting (Indirect light, with day - night lighting) part 2 of 2
If you are using Carrara's inbuilt biased renderer for night scenes, then this video will be like gold to you - especially how to light up night scenes with indirect (tube) lighting. Great for those neon light effects.
3d Animation. How to make Low Poly People Tutorial. (Part 2 of 4)
This time I take you through how to create a combined figure + clothing file as a start point for creating your own low poly figure.
My very first mocap in Carrara.
As long as you get the set up right, simple standing animations are quite straight forward using the ipisoft software. If you don't then it's better to start again to get things aligned in my opinion.
