lauren-boebert-gets-roasted-by-twitter
Lauren Boebert took to Twitter this week to defend Florida laws restricting teachers from discussing their personal lives - specifically, their marriage or relationship status - with Boebert claiming that teachers had NEVER talked about their relationship statuses prior to right now. Twitter users came out in full force to roast Boebert for not understanding that this is something teachers have ALWAYS done, starting with being identified as Mrs. or Ms. for female teachers. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins discusses the latest idiotic statements from Boebert.

Lauren Bobert decided to get on Twitter to take a shot at the Biden administration for something that, uh, you, you had White House Press Secretary, uh, Carini, Jean Pierre say the other day about teachers in the state of Florida not even being able to talk about their personal lives in the classroom. You know, they can't talk about their partner, they can't talk about who they love. So Lauren Bobert gets on Twitter responding to this clip, and she says this, growing up, I don't recall teachers announcing their marital status and pronouns to everyone. They're there to educate. How is this still a complaint of the left Twitter users were very quick to jump on. Uh, Lauren Bobert from all angles attacking her for such a blatantly stupid statement. We didn't know the marital status of our teachers. Yeah, you did. Um, for, for the, for the female teachers, which that is, you know, primarily a female dominated, uh, uh, um, uh, uh, uh, industry.
I guess you'd call it Miss or misses, literally right there, their name for both of most of them, especially when you were in school, Lauren, I know things are a little different now. You do have a lot of female teachers who just used the miss, even if they're married. However, back in the day, that wasn't really anything anybody thought of. It wasn't anything anybody really even cared about at the time. So you did know the marital status of your teachers based on get this, they're pronouns. Wow. Funny how that works, huh, Lauren, maybe you should have spent a little more time in school. Maybe you should have finished and you would've spent more time with those teachers to understand that. Yes, that is a thing that happened. My kindergarten teacher had an affair with the principal while I was in kindergarten, and the entire school ended up knowing about it.
And by the way, that was a private Catholic school. So don't act like this is just something that happens in these horrible liberal public schools. Oh, no. People know. I had teachers in high school that would talk about their spouses. They would tell us funny stories. They would relate to the students by opening up about their own personal lives. My third grade teacher was married to the PE teacher when I was in elementary school. They talked about their marriage. Both of them did, whether I was in class or at pe. They talked about their daughter. I still remember the daughter's name. Teachers open up about their personal lives. That shouldn't be illegal. And by the way, as I mentioned, that is a very powerful tool that teachers have to relate to students, to open up to them, to gain their trust so that they cooperate. I guess, I don't know, I'm not a teacher,
But letting these kids know who you are as a human being is not a bad thing, Lauren. And it shouldn't be illegal. Sure, it has no bearing on education as far as what they learn. But at the same time, it does make these students a little more endeared to that teacher. They feel a little bit closer to them. They're more willing to listen. And if they're more willing to listen, they're more willing to learn. And that is why it is important for teachers to be able to open up if they want to. You don't have to. I still have plenty of teachers that I knew nothing about their personal lives until, of course, several of them were arrested. Then we all knew.
