Apple IIgs New Power Supply Issues w/TWGS
Turns out the problem all along has been a crazy ~2.5v ripple on the power supply. Whenever the troughs of the ripple drop below about 4v, the TWGS acts up. Strange thing is, the machine works fine with the TWGS removed and the original 65816 reinstalled. Anyway, I swapped the old PSU back in and that seems to have solved the problem. Unfortunately, since I modified the new PSU, I 'spect I can't in good conscience try to return it.

Well, I had a plan to fix the dead section of that power supply cheaply, but then my Super Chinesium Desoldering Gun decided to seppuku, and I think desoldering with an iron may have been what killed that first little 12v supply I was going to use.
I've since ordered a Hakko FR-301 with expedited shipping. It should arrive sometime between the 8th and the 10th. In the meantime, I guess we'll have to work on the Tandy 1000HX'en, even though that won't be as interesting!
