David is upset & cofused. It's at those times in our lives that seeking our FATHERS will is most important. Other wise we may jump out of the frying pan & into the fire
Don't drag innocent people into the drama of your life. Our FATHER does not promise us smooth path but, HE gives us a map (HIS WORD) & what ever else we may need to walk HIS path & do HIS work.
Men do not ask for permission from other men. We are free to go back to work anytime we want. No need to petition, vote or protest. Just ignore"their" destructive unlawful "orders". Who in the hell do " they" think that they are any damn way?!?
