After returning a Machine Part to the Power Plant, get the Expn. Card from the director at the Radio Tower in Lavender Town. With the radio on PokéGear, tune into the Poké Flute channel while you’re in front of a sleeping Pokémon blocking the way. Save your game before you interact with it. Snorlax is on Level 50. Use Thief to steal the Leftovers it holds to prevent it from regenerating every turn. Snorlax will use Body Slam to paralyze opponents then Rollout that grows stronger every turn until 5 turns. If Snorlax is low on HP, it will use Rest. Heavy Balls would be the best choice to capture it. After the battle, enter Diglett’s Cave.

After triggering a flashback that showed N in the Chargestone Cave via Memory Link feature, his Pokémon will be released and scattered all over Unova. Explore the Chargestone Cave and you just might encounter a Boldore that will sparkle, representing that N used to own it. It will be on Level 28. It has a Naive nature and the ability Sturdy, preventing it from being knocked out in one hit. Once you capture this Boldore that N formerly owned, you cannot give it any nicknames.

Go north from Mahogany Town and you’ll find a place called the Lake of Rage. Once there, use Surf and you’ll find a Gyarados bearing a different color from all others. Save your game before you interact with it. Gyarados is on Level 30. Net Balls would be the best choice to catch it since it is Water type. After catching it, you’ll receive a Red Scale, and Lance will come by to witness the scene.

After you defeat Tabitha, you’ll take on the team’s leader, Maxie. Maxie is using a machine with the Meteorite fitted in so the volcano’s activity can intensify and expand the landmass. Clair is one of the Johto Leaders in the Pokémon World Tournament that can be battled in either the Johto Leaders or World Leaders Tournaments. Clair is skilled in using Dragon type Pokémon. Kingdra will use Dragon Dance to speed up and Rest to restore HP with a Chesto Berry taking effect for once. Dragonite will use Outrage for brutal strikes that repeat for 2-3 turns and Extremespeed to strike first. Altaria will use a 3-way combo of Cotton Guard, Double Team, and Toxic. Salamence will use Draco Meteor with a Dragon Gem taking effect for once for massive damage but lowering its own Special Attack stat in the process. Druddigon will use Glare to paralyze opponents and Sucker Punch to strike first. Garchomp will use Swords Dance to power up and Fire Fang to burn foes. A move like Dragon Pulse would be just fine to attack the opponents.

A Poké Flute will awaken any sleeping Pokémon. If you see a sleeping Pokémon blocking the way, use this item to awaken it. You may want to save your game first before you do this. When you use the Poké Flute, the Pokémon that wakes up will be identified as Snorlax. Snorlax is on Level 30. This one will be pretty hard to capture so lower its HP then try using status problem moves, like sleeping. There are 2 Snorlax available in Kanto. One is west from Celadon City on Route 16 and the other one is east from Vermilion City on Route 12.

Volkner is one of the Sinnoh Leaders in the Pokémon World Tournament that can be battled in either the Sinnoh Leaders or World Leaders Tournaments. Volkner is skilled in using Electric type Pokémon. Electivire will use Bulldoze to slow opponents down and Cross Chop for critical hits. Luxray will use Thunder Wave to paralyze opponents. Raichu will use Charge to raise its Special Defense stat and Grass Knot with a Grass Gem in support to damage heavier foes. Fan Rotom will use Air Slash to make targets flinch and Pain Split to even out the HP with the selected target. Jolteon will use Wish to restore HP and Charm to reduce the Attack stat of an opponent. Electrode will use Signal Beam to confuse opponents and Thunder with an Electric Gem to paralyze the target. A move like Earthquake would be the best choice for this matchup.

After Murkrow says the password to open the shutter to the generator room, Ariana and a Rocket Grunt by her side will burst onto the scene, while Lance will intervene and help you out with the battle. Arbok will use Glare to paralyze the target and Wrap to prevent the target from escaping for 2-5 turns. Gloom will use Sweet Scent to lower the target’s evasiveness stat and Stun Spore to paralyze the target. Murkrow will use Pursuit to deal double damage if anyone attempts to switch out. After the battle, Team Rocket will leave, and Lance will examine the machine that is causing havoc to the Lake of Rage. The only way to deactivate the machine is by defeating the Electrode controlling it.
