Give it time and wonder why
Do what we can laugh an we cry
And we sleep in your dust because we've seen this all before
Culture fades with tears and grace
Leaving us stunned hollow with shame
We have seen this all, seen this all before
Many tribes of a modern kind,
Doing brand new work, same spirit by side,
Joining hearts and hand and ancestral twine, ancestral twine
Many tribes of a modern kind,
Doing brand new work, same spirit by side,
Joining hearts and hand and ancestral twine, ancestral twine
Slowly it fades
Slowly we fade
Slowly you fades
Slowly you fade
Spirit bird she creaks and groans
She knows she has, seen this all before she has, seen this all before
Spirit bird she creaks and groans she knows she has,
Seen this all before she has, seen this all before she has
Slowly you fade
Slowly it fades
Slowly you fade
Slowly you fade
Slowly you fade
Soldier on soldier on my good country man
Keep fighting for your culture,
Now keep fighting for your land
I know its been thousands of years
And I feel your hurt and I know its wrong
And you feel you've been chained and broken and burned
And those beautiful old people
Those wise old souls have been ground down for far too long
By that spineless that greedy man that hearless man deceiving man
That government hand taking blood and land taking blood and land and still they can
But your dreaming and your warrior spirit lives on and it is so so so strong
In the earth in the trees in the rocks in the water
In your blood and in the air we breath
Soldier on soldier on my good country man,
Keep fighting for your children now keep fighting for your land
Slowly it fades
Slowly you fade
Slowly it fades
Slowly it fades
Give it time and we wonder why
Do what we can laugh and we cry and we sleep in your dust because we've seen it all before
This is afan-edit for Godzilla vs. Mothra 1992 meant to make it a more enjoyable experience by cutting out all of the cringey dialogue, dumb horribly-written pro-environmentalism stuff, bad special effects shots, and scenes that either don't make sense or do nothing for the plot. The original runtime was 1 hour and 48 minutes, now it's 1 hour and 24 minutes. Now that all of the bad stuff is removed, this movie is actually quite entertaining.
List of changes:
-For all times Godzilla's mouth is open and yet no roar sound is heard, the appropriate roar sound effect is added.
-Cut the entire "Indiana Jones" homage intro scene in the temple. Instead, after the opening credits, it cuts to the scene where the environmental planning board leaders meet Takuya in prison. The exact crime he committed is never specified, but I don't feel as if it needs to be specifically explained, we just need to know he's a theif.
-Cut out the entire part where Takuya refused to help out the environmental planning board. It's unnecessary and doesn't make sense, as even though they leave, he ends up on the expedition anyway (which is just confusing). Now the scene just ends with the environmental planning board leader nodding, implying that Takuya accepts the mission.
-Battra's emergence is moved.
-Cut the "Shall we land?" line when they are nearing Infant Island.
-Cut the scene on Infant Island where they talk about the environment as they look at a wasteland, the bridge scene, and the scene where they travel on a raft. It cuts from them exploring the forest to the campfire scene.
-Cut Andoh's line "Are you sure? Several thousand years? Could that be?" and Masako's line "That's hard to believe". We find cave paitings from several thousand years ago all the time, and this is a universe where kaiju are real. Why is this so unbelievable?
-Deleted the lines about the Earth being offended and a living thing. Now, the Cosmos say "Scientists created a device to control Earth's climate, so it created the black Mothra".
-Cut when the main trio talk about the environment with the Cosmos. After the Cosmos finish their story, Masako asks "Now that Mothra's egg has been exposed, what do you think will happen next?" and the Cosmos talk about Battra.
-Cut both "What's happening?!" lines by the environmental planning board leaders, because both are unnecessary and the second one is just REALLY cringey.
-Cut the scene with all of the environmentalists protesting against the Marutomo company. It's a pointless scene. Now the scene starts with the president getting a call from Andoh about Mothra's egg.
-Battra's awakening, which has been placed after the Cosmos finish talking about Mothra and Battra, replaces the two scenes above.
-Cut "Would you look at that, it's huge, isn't it?" line. It's been established multiple times that it's huge, no need to go on and on about it.
-Cut the part where the guy on the radio talks about Battra approaching.
-Cut "Where is it going to go now?" after Battra burrows away after destroying Nagoya.
-Cut the "It's big" line before the line "Something big's approaching". This is because the former line is pointless due to the existence of the latter line.
-Removed Godzilla firing his atomic breath from underwater and the characters looking out and saying "It's Godzilla!" because it's pointless for Godzilla to be firing his atomic breath at that moment as there is nothing to be firing at.
-Shortened a lot of Takuya and Andoh's fight to make it not drag out and be less cheesy.
-Cut "Oh no, they're getting pissed off!" line when Godzilla and Battra start fighting at sea.
-Cut a couple awkward looking moments when Godzilla fights Battra larva where it looks like they are hugging each other.
-Cut Takuya's "We better get out of here quicky!" line.
-Cut some shots of the main cast reacting to the underwater volcano. Why are they reacting? It's underwater, it's not going to hurt them.
-Cut the part during the Marutomo company meeting where the president was talking about getting a dollhouse for the Cosmos to live in.
-Cut all of the nonsensical, contradictory stuff about the environment during Masako and Takuya's conversation at the airport (no, Masako, the Cosmos didn't come to try and protect the environment, they came because you were taking the Mothra egg with you). Now Masako is just rushing because she's concerned that Mothra will come to Japan to save the Cosmos.
-The conversation with Masako and the two environmental planning board leaders now end's with "How selfish of them!" instead of more environment jibber jabber.
-Cut one of the environmental planning board leaders telling another one to look at the screen.
-Cut all of the shots where it's very clear Mothra larva is on wheels during her Tokyo rampage (which is basically all of the shots where you're looking at her from the front).
And many more not listed here due to description limitations on Odysee.
Good evening, and welcome to the upside down. Where what you see, can never be, and what you know, just isn’t so. Where bad is good and wrong is right. Where truth went down without a fight. Where you might just say, everyday is opposite day. Can I offer you a mask or an anal swab? Rape is the law, if its for a good cause. Oh no, it isn’t mandatory, that would be cruel, but you have no choice, that’s our only rule. Before you enter I must tell you about the world’s deadliest disease. It can take you out with a single sneeze. It's a clever bugger too, it can’t take out a violent mob it only thrives in those with jobs. but luckily, we have the only cure, it won’t stop it from spreading but that's all we know for sure. So “What does it do?”, you may ask. No one knows, so please be sure to double mask. “It’s super safe" the doctor said. Even if you end up dead, because the antidote can’t kill you since it's the leading cause of coincidence.
Now roll up your sleeve and let’s go, I’ll take you through the backwards show. Where doctors kill and science shills for our lord and saviour, a man named Bill. To your left you will find our grand display of courageous men with nothing to say. They don’t provide, or lead, or slay. They smile, nod, and let you have your way. To your right you’ll see our exhibition of empathy. Where the rich stay home, and through their phone, demand that old folks die alone. Follow along the yellow dotted line, to our memorial of dissent, our evil shrine. The thought criminals and sense seekers and those who disrupt, the ones who tried to turn us right side up. They did not shrink, to double think, so all of them died from “suicide”.
Thank you very much for visiting THE UPSIDE DOWN! Now please return to the circus with the rest of the clowns.
