How To Turn Off Or On Adaptive Brightness On Your Android Device In this video, I will show you how to turn off and disable adaptive brightness. If you find your Android devices screen automatically adjusting its brightness level frequently to your environment and activities then you likely have and are using adaptive brightness. Adaptive brightness is a brightness setting, found in the settings app of your android device. It is tasked with automatically adjusting your screen brightness in accordance to your environment and activities. When adaptive brightness is toggle on, you are also able to move the brightness slider to adjust your brightness level and help adaptive brightness learn you preferred brightness preferences depending on where you currently are and are doing. When adaptive brightness is toggled off, you can manually set your brightness level on your Android device and that brightness level chosen will remain consistent regardless of any environment or activity changes. Steps To Turn Off Adaptive Brightness On Your Android Device: 1. Tap on "Settings" app 2. Scroll down and tap on "Display" 3. Tap on "Adaptive brightness" 4. Toggle Off adaptive brightness by tapping on the toggle to the right of "Use adaptive brightness" 5. Adaptive brightness will now be disabled. You can now manually set your brightness level by tapping on "Brightness level" and move the slider to your desired brightness value 6. If you want to turn back on adaptive brightness, you can simply tap on the toggle next to the "Adaptive brightness" display option 7. You can now close out of your display settings by swiping up from the bottom to see all apps currently opened on your Android device and then close the "Settings" app. Congratulations, you have successfully turned off adaptive brightness on your Android device. When you first connected to your server, you were given the choice through a WinSCP warning message, to cache your servers host key that you are trying to connect/login to. If you chose Yes, the host key will be cached and you will therefore have WinSCP cache application data to clear or delete. If you selected No, the host key will not be added to your computer cache and you will be greeted with the same WinSCP warning message when you attempt to reconnect to the same server once again. Clearing or deleting WinSCP's host key caches is not the only application data that can be cleaned up. Two other application data types can also be cleared in a similar way as demonstrated in this video.
