Sweyne’s Howes Chambered Tombs on Rhossili Down, Gower Peninsula
The northern and best preserved of the two Neolithic stone chambered tombs of Rhossili Down on the Gower Peninsula of South Wales.
They are anachronistically named after an early 11th century Scandinavian warlord known as Sweyne or Swain, who may have been the founder of Swansea. Howes or How refers to or means burial mounds or tumuli.

This is footage from this year's (2023) Beltain/Beltane event at Butser Ancient Farm in Hampshire, UK. Please note that this is raw footage and has several points where the camera is out of focus - my attempt to focus on the moon is probably the most glaring example. There are some breaks in the video as it consists of 3 separate recordings: the initial procession to the wicker figure (a phoenix this year), the burning of the figure and finally the procession away from the main event. You'll have to forgive the obsession with the carnyces (carnyxes/carnyci/carni?).
This is footage from the Equinox boat burning which took place at Butser Ancient Farm on Saturday 24th September 2022. It is not a continuous recording, as you may notice. It starts with the lighting of the boat by shooting flaming arrows, through to everyone starting to leave. Forgive any shaky camerawork. The attendance for this is much smaller compared to Butser's Beltane/Beltain event earlier in the year.
The first upload to Barrowposting's Odysee channel, just to see how it goes. This footage was taken at Butser Ancient Farm in Hampshire, UK for the annual Equinox Boat Burn on Saturday 24th September 2022.
