I think that formal education is largely broken and overrated. Schools teach to memorize and obey authority, teach you to follow the rules. Talk when you are allowed to, raise your hand so you can speak. In a way they just prepare people so they can become obedient workers, this is their true purpose. Become a nice little ant in the colony and work hard, don’t question things. Schools don't teach us how to think, but what to think. Every learner is different and everyone has different learning styles yet mainstream education puts everybody into the same box. What often happens is that the system forces students to conform to preconceived standards that do not enhance their individual capabilities but actually suppress them.
