On December 8| the new monoclonal neutralizing antibody ambavirumab/romisvirimab combination therapy (previously known as the BRII-196/BRII-198 combination therapy) for the treatment of the COVID-19 received emergency approval from the China Medical Products Administration for listing. This is the China’s first domestic monoclonal antibody drug approved by the regulatory agency and the first fully self-developed anti-coronavirus specific drug in China. It was developed in cooperation with Tsinghua University| the Third People's Hospital of Shenzhen and Tengshengbo Pharmaceutical institute. As soon as the news came out| it immediately triggered a lot of discussions. Now that many targeted studies and discussions have ended| we may be able to learn about this medicine more comprehensively and objectively based on these conclusions.
